Description

With this application, discover the trail running routes from the Chamonix Valley on your smartphone !
In the heart of natural terrain as rugged as it is enchanting, amongst unique and well preserved landscapes, 18 different courses and circuits are now open across and around the valley’s 500 Km of trails and paths. This project is also a chance to welcome and work with an international mix of global market leaders (hoteliers, transport, relaxation and leisure), perfectly adapted to the particular needs of this sporting industry.

The Valley of Trail-Running also proposes to participate in timed challenges with bluetooth beacons.

Many features will help you practice the trail-running in the valley :
• get your location on the detailed IGN maps with the GPS
• record your chronos
• description of the route and points of interest
• monitoring alert to be notified if you move away from the route
• call or send an emergency SMS in case of problems
• sending predefined SMS to your contacts
• classification by age class on the challenges
• reporting a problem on the route
• adding comments
• sharing on social networks
• weather in Chamonix (source Meteo France)
• public transport

Access to all features requires that you use a Trace de Trail account.
Once the app is installed, you will need to download OpenTopoMap 130Mo or IGN maps (in app purchase - 90MB).

Remark : Continued use of GPS running in the background can greatly decrease battery life.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★Not good. Maps don't load quickly if at all. Trail conditions not updated accurately. Also, distances in hours only. No km and vertical gain info for segments. Better to go to Maison du Mountain and get a good topo map and use it. People working at Maison along with log book on big table will show current trail conditions from recent trips. Maps still won't have segment distances but will allow fairly accurate vertical gain assessment. On trails, many but not all trail junctions on Google maps. Trail signage very good along with obvious landforms and landmarks everywhere... So nav is fairly easy with good visibility.
