The new StoveDroid is a revolutionary new way to monitor your wood stove with an Android based smartphone or tablet. The systems consists of an Android based tablet or smartphone running the StoveDroid app that communicates to a 2 sensor electronics module via bluetooth.
StoveDroid features include:
Stove and flue temperature monitoring.
Stove and flue high temperature (user defined) visual, audible and speech alarms. Reminder to close the damper, bypass, air control, etc.
Stove and flue low temperature (user defined) audible and speech alarms. Reminds you to reload the stove.
If the device running StoveDroid has access to a cell network StoveDroid can send a text message to the user entered telephone number when the system detects a high stove or flue temperature. You can also inquire about the current stove and flue temperatures by simply sending StoveDroid a text message and StoveDroid will reply with current data.
StoveDroid also trends/graphs the stove and flue temperatures from 1 hour to 1 week.
On the trend screen StoveDroid calculates the heat produced by the stove in a unitless number, which is useful in comparing operating procedures and the heat produced from different fuels.
The StoveDroid system is easy to install. Install the app on your device. Mount the electronics near the stove. Place the stove sensor on the stove. Drill hole in the flue and insert the flue probe.
