Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★This app has been nothing but a headache. You have to jump through hoops just to use the app. The app doesn't even work properly. CS has no clue how to troubleshoot and they leave you hanging! They can't even troubleshoot when LexisNexis troubleshoots to them. It's honestly ridiculous! Worst app I have ever experienced. Major bugs!! Beware.
1 ★Steaming hot garbage. Kills my data and my battery. Although Google follows me everywhere and maintains a database of my every move, it's not the same when my insurance company does it. Will be changing my plan to remove this. The app itself struggles to maintain connection. In auto mode, it misses most of my rides. It often cuts rides in half or splits them into smaller trips. Would not recommend.
1 ★Idle time doesn't take into account the time you are actually sitting in PARK with the engine running and AC on. The assumption that you are in traffic is false and the results are skewed in favor of the company. This leads one to believe that the rest of the metrics used to "rate" drivers is also skewed and inaccurate.
1 ★Should be less than 1 star. Did it for a month and it didn't even track my data and Nationwide charged me back from the discount for not having the app download. Lots of hassle having to account for every trip you make whether driving or riding. Update: 3 days before my time was to be completed they reset the program and removed my information from the app. I was on my way to receiving a 33 % discount but not anymore.
1 ★This app is a joke. It's nothing more than a way for insurance companies to spy on you. The first 2 months I let them track me it said I had a 24% discount so far. The next week it went to 12%. The app is unreliable and horribly inaccurate. Any time you merge into a freeway your going to exceed what they claim is a safe acceleration speed. So if you use a freeway or interstate expect lots of flags. The discount isn't worth it to me. I have deleted the app and would advise anyone else to do so.
1 ★it is a battery hog! Have noticed a 20-30% lower batter over a day since installing the app. The hard braking and fast acceleration is not 100% accurate by any means. Shocks me to see an accelration or braking incedent when I'm driving on snowpack and icy roads at 30 mph. Also the nighttime driving is not on the same time zone I live in and dings me for night driving when I am the passenger (even when I say I'm the passenger).
2 ★trip recording in automatic mode is total unreliable. Much better if start and stop are done manually. App needs a lot of work. Unable to submit feedback from app. I get a 504 timeout error every time I try. I have found the app still recording data 5 minutes after leaving the vehicle and being connected to WIFI when recording in automatic mode. I have to always record manualy. I just tried to send an email to the address listed her. All attemps come back address no found.
1 ★Terrible app. Trying to use this with my Google Pixel 3 phone & Tesla Model 3. Doesn't detect trips so have to manually start recording, but even then, the trip recordings end and app shuts down after a minute. Only way to manually record is to have passenger keep app open and touch screen so it doesn't shut off. Ridiculous. Very disappointed.
3 ★The idea of the app is great, but I don't believe it collects enough information or offers enough options for the driver. I also feel the hard stops and fast acceleration algorithm is inaccurate. I am fairly new to the app so I'm not sure if it will actually save money or not, I guess that's the desired results in the end.
2 ★Honestly I expected more from a company that makes millions. It doesn't work when I turn off my phone screen, it displays the wrong data, I have to start recording a trip and then can't leave that screen at all which kills about 10% battery for a 25minute trip. I carpool with my roommate sometimes and after marking myself as a driver once whenever I take the trip again if I'm not the driver I can't change that.
1 ★I've had it for all of an hour and my God is it annoying. Im a train engineer and this stupid app thinks that me being on a train is the same as me driving. Plus with only a max of a 4 hour snooze I'll have to hit this multiple times a shift. That needs to be fixed ASAP. I drive maybe an two hours total a day. Why do they need to collect data on me 24/7? On top of that it's always running and thus always draining your battery.
1 ★It's a good concept, but the app can not tell the difference between driving your car vs. riding the light rail. Plus if you drive a company car during the day you have to go in the app and select not my trip on every single recorded trip. After some time I just gave up but I'm supposedly still getting a discount. I'm sure a device that plugs in your car is much more accurate and probably would result in a greater discount.
