100% ad-free, doesn't require data/cell connection to work.DigiHUD Speedometer is a free GPS based digital head up display (HUD) that shows useful speed and distance information for your journey. Ideal if your vehicle speedo has died, you want to verify your vehicle speed or you just want to know your speed when cycling, running, flying, sailing etc.!
The display can be switched between normal viewing and HUD mode which mirrors the display for viewing as a reflection in a vehicle windshield (most useful at night, depending on the device's brightness).
DigiHUD can open as a floating window on top of other apps or your homescreens. Works with external GPS receivers (tested at 10Hz).
Although we strive to make all readings as accurate as possible they are only as accurate as your device's GPS sensor and should only be regarded as approximations.

Using DigiHUD
Lite Mode (speed only) - swipe the speed left or right. Swipe again to return
HUD Mode (mirrored) - swipe the speed up or down. Swipe again to return
Touch the trip counter to cycle through the three counters
Long-pressing on a speed or trip value will reset it
Long-press the speed unit to choose between MPH, KMH and KTS from the popup menu (also in the Main Menu)
When in window mode touch the DigiHUD icon for a menu to switch to the fullscreen app or exit. The window can be re-sized using the corner drag handle.
All values can be reset by long-pressing "PAUSE RESET" (the Odometer reading in the Statistics popup won't reset and counts the total distance since the application was installed or it's data was cleared).
Main Menu
Opened by touching the speed displayed in the center of the screen, the menu allows you to:
Exit DigiHUD
Window/Background Mode: Close and open as a re-sizable floating window
HUD view / Normal view: Switch between HUD (mirrored) and normal displays
Speed Unit: Change between MPH, KMH or KTS
Set Warning Speed/Sound: The speed at which the digit color will change to red. An audible alert can also be enabled here
Brightness: Adjust the screen brightness
Display Color: Choose from 10 customizable colors. Almost every color is available except black
Lock screen rotation: keep the screen in its current rotation even if the device is rotated
Display Preferences: enable/disable screen elements
Statistics: odometer, trip distance, top speed and average speed and version number
Help: show help and other information

The screen will not turn off during long journeys and works in landscape or portrait mode.

How to install DigiHUD Speedometer APK on Android phone or tablet?

5 ★This app is perfect for a windshield HUD, I've used it for a year and love it. It it highly customizable and has day and night modes. The paid version turns on and off with my truck. (If plugged in) Awesome!
2 ★Recently ity no longer reads speed at all making it useless. Prior too that it worked great.
1 ★Does not keep mileage accurately when in windowed/background mode. I use this while driving door dash since I'm using my phone as a way to make sure I'm going the right speed. Didn't track my mileage for a whole day
5 ★Awesome app! My speedo broke on my truck during a long trip and i was able to set my phone on my dash with DigiHUD open to get me where i was going at the correct speeds. I had a few instances where the speed displayed was incorrect; bouncing between way too fast and too slow while driving around some curves in the mountains. After a few seconds, it was able to correct itself and display the correct speed again. Most likely the result of a poor GPS signal in those areas. Thanks for making this!
5 ★I figured I would post a review for this app. I have been using digihud for a couple years now on my ebikes and pedal bikes alike. By far, one of, if not the best speedo app on the market. Opt for the pro version, well worth the few bucks :). Many thanks to the dev's for putting together such an amazingly refined and useful app :)
2 ★This app is great, dont get me wrong. But dont use it for long periods of time. After using it for around 5-8 hours (not all at once), my phone screen had burn in. For those of you who dont know, "Burn in" is a damage to your screen which can leave markings. It has left a faint "888" on my screen at all times. There are some simple fixes, but you might also need a new screen. Overall, app is OK, good for a short time.
2 ★Used to work great...now resets to 54 miles every time i reopen the app. Makes it worthless to me. I just put 3.5 miles on the car, closed the app, reopened, and the app shows 54 miles. Bummer. UPDATE; Just got a response from the developer. Very nice! Hopefully the issue can be resolved. If so, this app will go to 5 stars!
1 ★Used this app for years. Paid for the pro version. After a couple of years, the pro version was downgraded to standard with no notification. Requested that the pro version be reinstated with no reply or reason for the downgrade. UNACCEPTABLE! Dropped the app.
5 ★I enjoy this app for over 2 years now, and I really mean it-I enjoy it! I tried dozen of other similar apps but neither of them come near DigiHUD. Iz is neat, and pretty. Though sometimes it does behave little weird. On my new phone ( Xiaomi MI A2 Lite; OS Android 9 ) after a day of driving when I close app, and then open it next day - all A B and C trip data are set to 0!? Also average speed and other data sometimes get erased all by themselves. Is there a cure?
5 ★I have not had a speedometer for years due to the faulty step Motors that being put out from 02 to 08 something like that. It's always there when I need it and I use it to check other people speedometers.

5 ★Does what it says it'll do. I recently changed cars and the speedometer is hard to read in bright sun. Your app takes care of this problem for me. I travel a lot of two lane roads where the limit changes quickly from 60 mph down to as low as 30 as you pass through the small towns. DigiHUD helps keep me legal and mindful of my speed. Thank you!
