Filmic Remote v3 is now called Remote Legacy. Filmic Remote v4 is now integrated directly into Filmic Pro v7.5.Remote Legacy is designed for use with Filmic Pro v7.4.5 and earlier (including Filmic Legacy). It offers wireless control and monitoring of your Filmic Pro experience. Filmic Remote puts your spare Android devices into the production process.
Remote v3 offers three modes of capability: Control, Monitor and Director.
Control mode provides the familiar Filmic Pro interface for complete remote camera control over hard to reach camera placements such as sliders, jib arms, car mounts, microphone stand or other compelling live event camera placements. Set up your Filmic Pro device and then control all settings and recordings from the Remote:
- Start/Stop record functions.
- Focus/exposure reticle placement and locking.
- Dual arc slider manual controls for focus and exposure.
- Pull-to-point focus and exposure pulls.
- Create and load Filmic Pro presets from Filmic Remote.
Monitor mode gives you cinema production capability for a fraction of the cost, offering a four-up display with the following powerful analytics:
- Video preview: Reference video for use with analytics screens.
- Waveform monitor: Visually identifies signal brightness segmented from left to right across a video feed. Used in conjunction with the video preview it can provide a quick snapshot of brightness in your video.
- Vectorscope: Displays color saturation, by channel, across the entire image.
- Histograms: RGB composite, Luminance, Zone and RGB channel.
Director mode provides a clean video preview. This is perfect for providing a director, producer or crew with a device to monitor the production remotely.
You can switch between modes on the fly to check analytics and composition. Remote can also be set up in ‘preview-only’ mode allowing a camera operator to perform all controls from the device running Filmic Pro and allowing the Remote to be used solely for monitoring.

1 ★Says nothing about not being able to use android and iOS together not working or having to pay twice Plus tutorial on not easy to follow. Then I got it to work on two android devices but the wrong way round and now can't download it on the other device as it says already purchased And can't now refund Stupid stupid thing. App could be good waste of 2hrs of my life trying to set up. Wish I could give it 0 stars
5 ★Previous problem with mode switching seems fixed 😊 If it would be possible to use FiLMiC Remote in Director mode whilst still controlling the App on the phone it would be perfect. Also, no idea if it's possible but being able to also control a gimbal from FiLMiC Remote would be great.
2 ★Filmic is great but it stinks that you can't use the Android version to watch something on an iPhone. I bought the app specifically for that and couldn't use it on our shoot at all.

5 ★An excellent accompaniment to FiLMiC Pro and I wish there were such an app available for my BMPCC4K. I intend to place my main phone on/in my car for recording while driving, and this app will allow me to see camera placement and start/stop recording easily, without having to touch the main phone.

4 ★Lo compre pensando en que podia uisarse sin una conexión activa a internet(wifi) para poder usarlo en exteriores via conexion wifi compartida de un dispositivo a otro pero no es posible, intente de muchas maneras. Si o si necesitas una conexion wifi via modem. Por el tiempo que lo probé funciona mas que bien. Pero si no lo puedo usar como quiero no me sirve.UPDATE! descubri como funciona wifi remote! jajajahora si me lo quedo funciona genial.- Lo siento...
