La Fundació Catalunya-Amèrica Sant Jeroni de la Murtra, té com a finalitat investigar i promoure l’apropament entre les cultures catalana i americanes, donant-les a conèixer al públic en general.Aprofundeix en els trets de la cultura catalana que han influït en les múltiples relacions amb els països americans, a més investiga i difon l’empremta americana en la cultura catalana, cercant ser una plataforma de trobada entre aquestes cultures en una societat cada vegada més multicultural i interconnectada.
Per complir amb els seus objectius, la Fundació presenta diversos àmbits de relació i intercanvi en la seva seu, ubicada al Monestir Sant Jeroni de la Murtra, Badalona, Barcelona (Espanya), lloc on es va produir la trobada històrica entre els Reis Catòlics i Cristòfol Colom, abans d’iniciar el seu segon viatge a terres americanes (abril de 1493).
A les seves sales, denominades Ramon Pané, s’organitzen exposicions, conferències, cursos, concerts i visites.
