39 edición del concurso Argizaiola de la Federación Vasca de fotografía.A mediados de la década de los 60 el movimiento asociativo fotográfico vasco sufrió un importante empuje y se consolidaron las relaciones y colaboraciones entre sus diferentes agrupaciones. En 1973, en el Hotel Alaska de Alsasua, y en el transcurso de diversas conversaciones entre los responsables de distintas Agrupaciones Fotográficas del País Vasco sobre una hipotética Federación, surgió la idea y fue convocado el PRIMER TROFEO ARGIZAIOLA.
La principal característica de este certamen fotográfico era que se realizaba con las fotografías previamente clasificadas en los siguientes concursos, tras lo cual se realizaba una exposición:
* Concurso fotográfico SAN PRUDENCIO, del Consejo de Cultura de Alava.
* MEMORIAL MARQUÉS DE ROCAVERDE, de la Sociedad Fotográfica de Gipuzkoa.
* MEMORIAL NICOLÁS ARDANAZ, de la Agrupación Fotográfica y Cinematográfica de Navarra.
* QUINCENA VIZCAINA, del Vizcaya Club Cine Foto.
Aquellos momentos propicios para nuestro asociacionismo fotográfico dieron por fin resultado con el nacimiento de la FEDERACIÓN DE AGRUPACIONES FOTOGRÁFICAS DEL PAÍS VASCO y posteriormente con la CONFEDERACIÓN ESPAÑOLA DE FOTOGRAFÍA, impulsada así mismo desde el País Vasco.
El Trofeo ARGIZAIOLA fue durante años el máximo exponente de la concursística vasca, pero al decaer el mismo, cuando menos el concepto en que estaba basado, cayó en un pequeño paréntesis, para volver con renovada fuerza en el año 1995.
En esta edición los concursos que han sido clasificatorios para el ARGIZAIOLA 2019 (Trofeo 39) son:

* XVIII ONCE Internacional: Un mundo para todos" (Bilbo)

Si en la primera época del Certamen ARGIZAIOLA eran las fotografías las que se clasificaban para la fase final, ahora son los fotógrafos premiados en los concursos base quienes reciben una invitación a participar, y lo hacen con absoluta libertad.
El resultado final de la convocatoria ARGIZAIOLA 2019, en el que se ha celebrado la 39 edición del mismo, está disponible mediante un USB y una app para móviles descargable gratuitamente.
