PERMISSIONS:
The app needs access to your location to calculate the direction of north. Unlike most other compass apps, this one doesn't need internet access!

This compass depends on your phone's sensors - it's only as good as they are!
The compass (like ordinary compasses) mightn't be accurate if you try to use it near a magnet or a big chunk of metal (like a car).
