Description
PersonalGeo is primarily intended as a geo-scientific data-gathering and input tool. It is aimed at assisting with the logging of diamond drill-core or costeans/trenches targeted in an exploration environment. PersonalGeo is particularly suitable for geologists working for small to medium sized exploration or resources companies that do not already have a commercial in-house Geological Information Management System (GIMS).PersonalGeo is a great way of carrying your drill hole logs in your smartphone, in your pocket. If you are on-site and need to quickly provide a drill hole summary, or the details of an individual interval to clients, a supervisor, or co-workers, a few taps will get you there!
PersonalGeo features an internal relational database to store your geo-scientific information, and allows the data to be exported and emailed as various text files and report attachments.
A free companion MS Access database is available for download from the developer's website which can import the text files produced by PersonalGeo. Using this database the data can be displayed, edited and queried by the user, or formatted for use in 3rd party software.
