Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

5 ★Words can't describe how much I appreciate this application. If you are an observational amateur astronomer, or just a casual star gazer, you must have this app. It tells you more than you can imagine and is an unbelievably powerful planning tool. Short of driving your goto telescope, there is nothing it can't do (I understand that capability may be coming). This app is one of the main reasons I stuck with Android as it is not yet available for Apple (I pity the poor iPhone star gazer users).
5 ★Incredible features & a large amount of data. I took an astronomy class in school and this app has info I never learned about. The sheer volume of information may be a little overwhelming at first, but it's organized into categories & there are lots of help boxes with explanations of terms (like 'mv') so that it should become second nature quickly. As a (very) amateur astronomer, this has more than everything I need with room to grow. I almost never pay for apps, but I'm glad I paid for this!
5 ★Many functions (I haven't explored all of them). Clear display with smooth movement/animation. Helpful tips. Only thing that comes close to a fault is that it has to load data every time it boots, but it doesn't take more than about 7 seconds over WiFi. And there are settings that allow you to download many of them preemptively. Not sure how fast the boot/load would go over 4G
5 ★This is the best app for stargazers. It has everything you want for viewing the sky, and informing you on upcoming events.
5 ★I really like the new interface and features. Much better experience on a tablet than the old version. Voice search is cool! Unfortunately, I still have to depend on Sky Safari for getting observing lists certifications, like those offered by the Astronomical League, the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (of which I am a member) and so on. I understand that telescope control is coming later in the year. Due to lack of space, I cannot list the details of functionality I'd like to see, so I'll send Wolfgang a PM. In summary: 1. Ability to download custom lists in SkyTools and Sky Safari format, and also to create custom lists. 2. Ability to log observations. 3. Current search capabilities aren't bad, but there can be better cross-referencing with catalog designations (especially star catalogs). 4. Allow user to specify an obstructed horizon (degrees above horizon. Keep up the great work!!! Edit: Discovered that the search results for stars are worse than expected. The app does not identify double stars as such. Therefore not good for double star observing :(. I'm forced to remove a star from my original rating. Back to five stars. Too much great stuff to be so fussy.
5 ★Best astronomy app for Android, by far. Excellently and meticulously designed, yet very intuitive. It works well for the amateur as well as the well-seasoned astronomer. It beats even all the much more expensive ones. The Event notifications alone are amazing but I love every other feature it has. Not to mention, it is beautiful to look at. The developers went all the way, no holds barred, on this. Thank you for such a great app.
5 ★Awesome! I think I've never rated an app before, but I need to give this one its due. I tried almost all the other stargazing apps and my gyroscope went haywire in all of them. Not here though. Also, the sky map is so clear and well-designed you can finally start recognizing constellations. Every other app (and book) I looked at just made me doubt what I was seeing. (I thought Delphinus was Lyra for ages!) Here, it's just one aha moment after another. Very beginner friendly, would buy it again.
5 ★Wow! This is AWESOME! I've used Mobile Observatory II for four years. it has been very useful in amateur astronomy. Now with this version I will be able to do so much more! From AR of the sky to locations of celestial objects, this is one handy app to have. To fully understand everything you can do, look at the menu items and just go from there. Nice clean user friendly interface to select the many options to enhance your night time viewing of the sky. Excellent job Wolfgang Zima!
5 ★I didn't expect much more than a new menu system in this new version. Boy was I wrong. Every part of this app has usability updates that just make it feel smarter to use. I feel that anyone who is critical of having to buy a new version will not be disappointed once they start to use it. I'd like to add that this developer is one of the most responsive and attentive creators on the Play Store. If this app could control my telescope, it would be the only astronomy app I need.
5 ★Excellent all in one app for astronomy. Have been using the previous version for years and consider version 3 as money well spent. The live sky is just amazing and would love to be able to set my default view as a live wallpaper, other then that I can't think of any other information or facility that would be an improvement. Thanks for a great app!
5 ★Great app for astronomy enthusiasts! There is fairly comprehensive information about the night sky that will help anyone from the casual star gazer to the avid astronomer and astro photographer. My only complaint is the night vision mode. It seems to be too red and therefore too dark, at least for my eyes. Adjusting the screen brightness barely improves it. I hope the developer can find a way to brighten it just a little bit in a future update, maybe add just a little orange to it.
5 ★Thanks for a Great program. I still remember as a kid watching the Echo satillite . I do not do anything professionally in astonomy but it peaked my interest in the sciences as a kid , math , geometry and am using it to do the same for my grandkids. As in how to locate an object so many degrees from another more prominent object. A true labor of love.👩‍🚀 updated 11/22/19 updates are frequent and Many nice New features. Thanks Wolfgang 🔭
