USING THE COLLAR, WHAT TO EXPECT
Firmware updates - If you are prompted for firmware updates to collar or basestation, please select yes to ensure best performance. Please keep your phone near the device for the short time it takes to install the update from the app to the devices. We have planned updates to firmware which improve accuracy and battery life.
Assisted Location Services - When the collar is indoors, or shadowed from the sky by tall buildings, GPS locations take longer and accuracy is reduced. Mobile phone location services go beyond GPS, using additional information like wifi and cell towers to refine GPS locations, and the Nuzzle app can use those to improve the collar's location accuracy. If the collar is connected to your phone via BlueTooth and the Nuzzle app is running, (foreground or background) we use both the phone's location and the collar's location to compute the pet's location. We only collect the phone's location if the app is running and has connected to the collar over Bluetooth.
Collar battery Life - Averages 12-30 hours, depending on time spent within range of the Basestation. and whether Cellular or Bluetooth is used for uploads. Keep your extra battery charging and ready to go.

5 ★I received my collar a month ago. I decided to wait to leave a review. The updates over the past month have made a world of difference. I'm going to recommend my customers that I pet sit for purchase collars for their pets. I used mine on a customer's pet I like to call Houdini. Normally it would take me 3 hours to find him. We had him back within minutes. Love this collar.
1 ★Stay away. The device does not work as it is advertised. The customer support team yells at and hangs up on you. And if you open it, it's yours you cannot get a full refund. If you are waiting for your pre-order to ship, cancel your order now. Update: I even gave them over two weeks to deliver the update they promised to make things better but the battery still barely lasts 8 hours.

And that is because I kept sending them messages every month.. It looks good, but it does not deliver on its supposed goal.. Also the app is awful..

App does not work without collar. Nuzzle will happily take your money and not ship the collar. Save your time, money, and frustration. Don't order the collar or use this app. EDITED TO ADD: Please, please, do not rely on the reviews found on the Nuzzle site. Nuzzle removes all but four and five star reviews from their website. Read the reviews here and on iTunes. Check out Planet Smartcollar on Facebook. Learn from the mistakes made by those who believed Nuzzle would provide peace of mind to pet owners. The collar is trash; so is the app.
1 ★Stuck in development forever. Does not work without the unattainable Nuzzle collar. You cannot buy the collar. The company will take your money and promise to send it someday. Be aware that you are not buying a product, merely funding software development with no release date in sight.

1 ★I hate this thing with a passion. Spend hours upon hours fighting with it. It's never worked. Now the app crashes when trying to send a crash report. I'm done. Waited a year (?) passed when we were supposed to get it only to end up with a worthless piece of junk. Very expensive piece of junk.

1 ★Nuzzle support told me to explore their wonderful new Android app while I waiting for my Nuzzle collar to be shipped (ordered March 8th). App was completely useless without a collar - wouldn't detect my phone's location, etc. Company was more than happy to take my money and not produce any product. Finally cancelled by order after numerous empty promises of "shipping in two weeks". Prompt refund but won't ever buy from again. I don't think any collars have actually been shipped beyond the initial IndieGoGo backers. Bad news!
1 ★Got the collar because I live in the middle of no where though it might work at least to tell me if my cat leaves home base which it does...even if she's sitting right next to me it'll say she's all the way down the road not to mention I'm lucky if the battery lasts longer then four hours. And I've tried returning it, can't get ahold of anyone and now it's past the 15 day return allowance so they won't take it back.
