Η εφαρμογή Biodiversity GR, πρωτοφτιάχτηκε σαν εφαρμογή για το Ελληνικό Παρατηρητήριο Βιοποικιλότητας και την δραστηριότητα τους, ωστόσο σήμερα έχει εξελιχθεί σε μια γενική εφαρμογή για το περιβάλλον πλήρως προσαρμόσιμη στα γούστα του καθενόςΟι επιλογές που έχουν προστεθεί είναι τόσες πολλές που πρέπει κάποιος να τις εξερευνήσει μόνος/η του.
Το πιο σημαντικό στην εφαρμογή είναι οι καρτέλες αναγνώρισης, οι οποίες αναβαθμίζονται συχνά, και είναι πιο εύκολο από ποτέ η αναγνώριση ειδών της βιοποικιλότητας της Ελλάδας.
