【あらすじ】
遠い未来、遥か銀河の果て。人類は、異形の怪生命体ヒディアーズと種の存続を
賭けた戦いを続けていた。激しい戦いの最中、少年兵レドは乗機である人型機動
兵器チェインバーとともに時空のひずみへと呑み込まれる。人工冬眠から目覚め
たレドは、忘れられた辺境の惑星・地球へと漂着したことを知る。表面のほぼす
べてを海に覆われた地球で、人々は巨大な船団を組み、旧文明の遺物を海底から
サルベージすることで、つつましくも生き生きと暮らしていた。ここはそんな船
団の一つ、ガルガンティア。言葉も通じない、文化も習慣も異なる未知の環境に
戸惑うレド。やむをえず、少女・エイミーらガルガンティアの人々との共生を模
