Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

4 ★Great app! As a suggestion, how about including the original source sentence in the vocabulary review section? Also, could you make the reviews run in an SR (spaced repetition) algorithm to optimize the learning? I think that would make this app the best one out there!
5 ★This is such a fantastic app. I use it to read the news without furigana and if there is a word I don't know, I simply touch it and it gives me the furigana or meaning (depending on how I set it). It's brought joy back to my reading practice, thanks! The only thing I'd like to see in it going forward is a SRS for the vocabulary review and possibly a link between the word I saved and what article I found it in (as you can do in Satori reader for instance). This is a very big ask given the scope of the project, hence the 5 stars for how good it already is now.
4 ★The app has been built very well, but there are a few problems as follows: There's a big problem in this app. Even on negative inflections of adjectives or verbs, it shows the positive meaning. Could be very misleading. Sometimes the app randomly crashes. It appears to not save the language settings to disk meaning that I get meanings of words in different languages even after I've disabled the rest. and also it does not save bookmarked articles to disk. Also, in the dark theme the kana representstion of the words is not bright enough to read.
5 ★This is the best Japanese reading app i have ever used. Reading was always my most hated part of learning Japanese but you've made it less intimidating. Being able to turn furigana on and off and review vocabulary is so useful. Thank you so much!
3 ★This app is good but needs a little work before I give it 5 stars. It constantly says text to speech engine stopped working and some of the translations are incorrect. I'm reading an article about universities and it says いるか which it translates to Dolphin but that makes absolutely no sense in the context of the sentence or the article. Fix these things and I'll give it 5 stars.
5 ★The bookmark function is buggy. Once I closed the app and opened it again, I see only one bookmarked news instead of the 10 news I bookmarked. The vocab analyser is genius though. Really nice to listen to each word. Edit : I think it's a memory issue, not really a bug. I cleared the cache and now I can bookmark more than one article.
5 ★I love it, you can learn so much more than I originally thought. And for those of you who think that you know Japanese, the app will empower you to practice at a level that no book nor game nor any other form teaching can even aspire to get. My huge thanks to dev or devs for this. If you have the means please support them monetarily.
5 ★Fantastic app. I've tried a bunch of Japanese reader apps and this is by far the best I've come across. Super user-friendly, great UI, and a ton of useful features like vocab flash cards. Can't recommend it enough.
4 ★This app is amazing! It has vast interesting reads. I just hope there is an english translation of the articles, so I can check if I understood what I read correctly. I don't trust Google translate that much, so, yeah. That's the only flaw I can see in this app. I'm loving it so far 💕
5 ★This is a fantastic app for any level of Japanese. click on any word for the English translation. words are also underlined in different colours depending whether they are katakana/ hiragana etc. but the master stroke is that you can set the furigana and highlighting to different levels depending on your ability. so I'm at N3 level so the app doesn't give me furigana for kanji I should already know. the only way this app could be improved in my opinion is with audio. well done guys!
4 ★The app is really brilliant! It seems to have content for all levels and interests. However, it appears there could be a memory leak somewhere within the code for the app, since my phone's memory usage slowly gets higher and higher when I open and close this app throughout the day.
4 ★Update: Minus one star because most of my bookmarks keep disappearing. Wow. This is EXACTLY what I was hoping to find. The perfect app for learning to read all levels of Japanese! I'm so happy this exists! Amazingly helpful!!! Thank you!!! どうもありがとうございます。
