Kung Fu is een Chinese vechtkunst, die stamt uit de beroemde zuidelijke Shaolin tempel. Verschillende training zalen in de tempel droegen de naam Kung Fu Dim (eeuwige lente hal) daarna werd de stijl in de daarop volgende generaties werd Kung Fu Kuen (eeuwige lente vuist) genoemd.
De stijl werd generaties lang, na het afbranden van de Shaolin tempel in het geheim doorgegeven in clans en families. In de jaren vijftig werd het toegankelijk voor het normale publiek in Hong Kong.
