1 ★Update: contacted support team and got quick response. Still waiting for the reason and a fix but meanwhile, putting the app on DeepSleep solved draining. After playing a round last Friday Jan 24th, golfshot keeps running in the background and totalled around 30% of my daily battery usage (though I'm not using it). Notice this after looking into higher than usual daily battery consumption. At the time of this post, I have just restarted the phone to see if the problem (background usage) stop.
1 ★i have been using the free version for about 2 years. Last year, game adds would show up when starting the app. After the adds started showing, something is using the battery at a very accelerated rate. My 100% charged Samsung S23 ultra will be completely dead by the 13 or 14 hole. The only time I have this problem is when I use the Golfshot app. I would be happy to pay for it, but I'm not sure that would stop it from killing my battery.
4 ★App won't open due to bug from last update. awaiting fix. app not usable for my round for first time in 10 years, may need to look at other options. App responded after cache AND memory were deleted. Had to re-install account and setup clubs, distances and preferences again.
5 ★App is great for keeping all your stats. Simple and fun to use.
1 ★The first ten minutes were excellent. It did everything that I wanted it to do. Then it locked up my phone probably three times per hole until I shut it off.
1 ★I originally had the lifetime Pro but that stopped working so I bought the annual PRO version (Galaxy S22) but it was cancelled before I could renew it because golfshot was down. Now I have to buy it again at double the expected price. Doesn't seem fair to me. Their response was basically . . . Tough luck buddy. So now I just use it as a rangfinder with the free version. You asked if the problem had been solved I responded "No" . . And it still hasn't.12/14/2024
1 ★Terrible it work with a samsung watch, the newest FAQ is 2 years old of no value
1 ★Can't enter multiple players. Drops rounds often. Closes without warning. Customer care doesn't respond. This is a typical "got your money, who are you, bye sucker's" app.
2 ★First time using it and I wasn't impressed. Shot tracking is ok but not when am trying to look at the distance to the hole from my watch. Seems like you need your phone a lot unlike smart caddie which I can see all I need on my phone. Paid for pro version. Will see if it gets better. Auto hole advance doesn't work
2 ★After new update on Oct 14, 2024, battery drains on android at twice the amount as before. Usually my fully charged phone is at 60% after 4 hour round. Now it is at 30% remaining. Has also hung twice in the last week, requiring reboot of phone to resume round. Something isn't right after update.
