In particolare Web-Yacht Tracker è dedicato alle regate.
Web-Yacht Tracker infatti, durante lo svolgimento di una regata, raccoglie le informazioni di navigazione (latitudine, longitudine, direzione e velocità GPS) della tua imbarcazione e le invia al server che si occupa di memorizzarle e renderle disponibili per una consultazione su mappa. Sarà così possibile rivivere la regata analizzando ciò che è avvenuto, verificare le posizioni con i propri avversari istante per istante.
L'acquisizione dei dati può avvenire in tre diverse modalità selezionabili dall'utente: tramite GPS interno del device in modalità nativa, tramite GPS interno in modalità NMEA 0183 oppure tramite WIFI (laddove l'imbarcazione ne fosse provvista) utilizzando i dati provenienti direttamente dagli strumenti (consigliato).
Web-Yacht Tracker è anche in grado di ricevere i dati specifici della regata (start Line, start Timer, informazioni relative alle boe di percorso) direttamente dal comitato di regata (nel caso in cui il comitato utilizzi l'apposita app Web-Yacht SmartRace).
