A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading). As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.
Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?
A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.
Q: What are Android App permissions?
A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

2 ★Skeezy, sleezy, slime bag of a company. They hide the "opt-out" button (blue text) over a blue background so you can't see it. The app only works if you give it access to location *even when you're not using the app* it will not let you proceed if you only grant access while the app is in use. There is absolutely no reason this app should require full time location. Now I have to manually change the permissions each time I want to use the app. Horrible CX. Decent app otherwise...
2 ★Borderline evil. The app tricks people into registering by having only hard to see blue on blue opt out link. The app requires too many permissions (like audio recording) and actively refuses to start without them. Since Android permissions were made optional some time ago by Google, the maker of this app must have intentionally made this app to enforce all permissions on start, taking the power away from users. The maker should rethink his attitude towards his customers.
1 ★Super invasive with location data. I can use the SDK on my Linux box without having location on 24/7. why do I even need location to run the app? It should be an option if a user wants that data as part of the capture. It isn't required on Linux or Windows applications. Also the opt-out button on signing up/in is the same colour as the background making it possibly impossible to see. The person who approved these and the person who designed with should be ashamed to be an engineer. 0/5
1 ★This app and associated thermal camera were excellent until the developer demanded that the user turn on the location and microphone permissions. Neither is necessary for the camera to function. Obviously the developer wants to mine data, without compensating the user. I suggest looking at a FLIR instead of this... unless FLIR tries the same tactic. Basically, I get put off by arrogant, high handed, cram it down my throat developers. If they change their app, I would change my rating. Thank you.
1 ★This was initially a reasonably good app however it stopped working, giving me a black screen but with the thermal cam output rendered in the tiny thumbnails on the view options bar. Normally I would have trpubleshot this with the provider before sending a bad review, but not this time. I reloaded the app, to find that it refuses to work without location permission. You don't need my location unless it's to on sell to data miners. Very dishonest in fact it's theft as I paid $300 for this camera
4 ★In spite of many users are saying, the app doesn't require you to register. You can opt out during the initial setup - the option is there. Also, the app will still work without microphone permission. I assume it needs an access to GPS because it can put a location stamp on the image. Sending data to manufacturer also can and should be disabled. As for the features, I'd really love to have the option to adjust the parallax manually to align the side-by-side images from thermal and phone cameras.
3 ★The application purposely restricts one of the most valuable camera mode "Span & Level" if the device is not "Seek CompactPro"(the most expensive model). I dislike the developers having disabled this important feature in order to encourage the consumer to buy the more expensive unit when the standard cheaper units are capable of it, even if thermal accuracy is not as good as the pro units.
1 ★Worked on my Samsung S4, but not on new Moto Z3 without location enabled. I refuse to give 24 hour access to my location and microphone. Sadly, I wish I could return this vaguely disguised spyware. I'd rate it zero if I could. Seek Thermal, if you're listening, you should fix this. I was an early adopter and pushed your product to friends. Now I'm contacting them to say get rid of this privacy invading software and toss the device.... Too bad.
3 ★Update: After back and forth with Seek support, the problem was determined to be a setting on my phone. The display was set to Zoom in under Accessibility. This prevented me from scrolling down and choosing 'Opt-out' which is required because the Create New Logon server is down and crashes the app when selected. Short answer is to choose Opt-out when given the option. I haven't used the camera much yet but I felt I needed to at least change my star rating and review 1st. Original post: App shuts down when attempting to create sign in. The camera won't work unless this step is completed. I tried it on 2 different devices.
1 ★The camera is great but the app sneakily gets your location in the background multiple times per day, even when you're not using it. If you try to turn off location data, then it won't let you run the app at all. Even setting it to only allow location collection when the app is running, makes it so you can't use the app.
1 ★SPYWARE!!! Update feb.2019 - this can be labeled as spyware. It acquires location in the background, without being used. The only workaround seems to be denying location access after using it and enabling it whenever it needs to be used. ..... Won't work without granting location access. Whomever decided this should be a requirement needs to be smacked. As such the app gets 1 star from me since there is no zero stars option.
1 ★Tracking app. I'm eturning both cameras as faulty. Even though I've disabled background activity, after a couple of days of not using the app (or connecting the cameras) my phone tells me Seek Thermal obtained my location in the background. This cannot be necessary. Given the company is ignoring this annoyance, there seems no point in hoping for a fix to the 'always on' location requirement. The noisy detector isn't particularly good and the optics are poorly aligned. Having 2 shows QC issues.
