GETTING STARTED:
Voice Notify operates through Android's Notification Listener service and must be enabled in the Notification Access settings.
A shortcut to that screen is provided at the top of the main Voice Notify screen.

Some device brands, such as Xiaomi and Samsung among several others, have an additional permission that by default prevents apps like Voice Notify from auto-starting or running in the background.
When Voice Notify is opened on a known affected device and the service isn't running, a dialog will appear with instructions and in some cases can open directly into the relevant settings screen.

PERMISSIONS:
• Post Notifications - Required to post the test notification. This is typically the only permission that Android shows to the user.
• Query All Packages - Required to fetch a list of all installed apps for the App List and allow for per-app settings
• Bluetooth - Required to detect whether Bluetooth headset is connected
• Vibrate - Required for Test feature while device is in vibrate mode
• Modify Audio Settings - Required for improved wired headset detection
• Read Phone State - Required to interrupt TTS if a phone call becomes active [Android 11 and below]

ABOUT AUDIO STREAM OPTION:
Behavior of audio streams may vary by device or Android version, so I advise doing your own testing to determine which stream is right for you. The Media stream (default) should be good for most people.

DISCLAIMER:
Voice Notify developers are not responsible for the notifications that are announced. Options are provided to help prevent unwanted announcing of notifications. Use at your own risk!

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

5 ★Best app
5 ★Humans dont speak beeps. Humans cant pull their phones out of their pockets 95% of the day to create tasks, start a record, review the todos, make calls, unlock device, control media. Smartwatch tech currently sucks. We are all blind people most of the day with limited dexterity (either driving, busy, wet hands, far sighted, old, working, neurological cond) Getting my Google voice (sms, txt), Calendar Alerts, and business email spoken is a game changer. Well done app. Nothing yet annoying in it.
3 ★just started using the app. There should be the option to ignore reading notifications by notification types. Like silent notification, persistent notification etc. It reads those persistent notifications and silent ones, disabling the whole app is not a good solution as there may be other necessary notifications. Please implement this soon.
5 ★Awesome, thanks for fixing Shake to Silence so swiftly!!! Fantastic App
5 ★BIG
5 ★This app Works really great! It is a well developed app. Great options and easy to configure. It is free with no ads. No data is collected or transmitted. It doesn't get any better than this. I have tried a few others. This one is keeper!. I just wish it had silence by volume down. Like we all use to silence the phone ringer. Not a fan of shake. Afraid I might throw my phone :D
5 ★love ❤️ it.
4 ★Wow, I'm genuinely impressed. This is the most useful implementation of this type of app that I've found. It actually works and works well. UPDATE: Since Oneplus Oxygen 15, it stop speaking after a while, seemingly randomly (can't pinpoint any consistency). Restarting the app or phone fixes it, but it's a bit of a pain
4 ★App seems good but I can't seem to be able to get the audio through my headphones . .it plays through the phone speakers regardless of whether headphones are connected or not so sadly it isn't doing what I needed. UPDATE: seems it may be a glitch with my hardware/software, have tried again and seems to be okay now without changing any settings.
5 ★I am using my old standby, which is fast and simple to set up, and, if you run in to anything you need help getting it set up the devs are an email away. I sure do wish that they'd add time and battery to the app so I could get rid of at least 2 other apps.
