Description

The application can scan, locate and track bluetooth LE beacons (Eddystone, iBeacons or AltBeacons) allows you to define actions that will be triggered when a specified event occurs.

These events are supported:
• Beacon enters a region (beacon in range)
• Beacon leaves the region (beacon is out of range)
• Beacon is near you

For each event you can define unlimited number of actions :
• Start an application
• Open url
• Get current location
• Broadcast intent action
• Set Normal / Silent mode
• Execute tasker action (http://tasker.dinglisch.net) for unlimited action possibilities

For example, you may set a silent mode entering your bedroom...and set normal sound profile leaving it.

How to install Beacon Locator APK on Android phone or tablet?

5 ★For the lucky users to find this app, yes, there is still hope for your smart wallet or other device that uses ibeacon. Set trigger task to activate a Tasker task. You can have it go as far as displaying a toast, notification, recording location data, exporting that data to a log file, appending more data to that same file, have a button on the notification to open the location data in maps, etc. There is a huge amount of potential here for people who know how to use Tasker, and use ibeacon. 8-)

1 ★It can set up actions for one IBeacon, but then the context menu disaapears, if it can find the other beacon. It does generate events for the setup beacon, but as noted, slowly. Unfortunately, this is the only app of it's kind.

5 ★Awesome app, works well with Tasker running on my OnePlus 5 to detect an ESP32 board simulating iBeacon. The only thing I was not able to figure out was the Broadcast Intent feature, tried many different methods, bot nothing worked, would be awesome to be able to read the RSSI level of the Beacon in Tasker, in order to have more control over the sensitivity.

3 ★Hasn't managed to find any cafes yet let alone bacon! Does it definitely work?

1 ★So, I get it, but what a huge battery hog. There are similar apps that scan less, or something, can be killed, or just used manually as needed. This literally cut my battery life in half just running in the background.

4 ★update: got it working better now; app has to be in background to generate action. still a few bugs such as open url and get location both dont work. also actions can take up to 90 seconds to trigger. too slow. but overall a good start! original review: great idea and interface but not working for me. i received one out of zone notification about 5 mins after shutting off a beacon, which is far too slow. plus i could never get another notification again.

1 ★Found the beacon only once, allowing me to set up actions, but then stopped detecting it completely. The radar finds he beacon once every 10 or 12 times, but the scan never does. Never worked automatically in foreground or background. I was really excited when I found the app, because it is exactly what I needed... only if it worked.

2 ★It is crashing on selecting any beacon. Tested on Android 4.4, Android 5, Android 6. On an Pixel C with Android 8.1 it lists no beacons. What i'm doing wrong?
