Description
An easy, simple and lightweight video player for playing any YouTube video quickly in Full Screen or Floating window mode. Just browse with the built-in YouTube browser, click to select a video to watch and view it immediately in full screen or a small movable window that floats above other apps.It supports YouTube Playlists. You can also create a quick custom playlist with your favorite videos in the app.
The player is light (less than 1MB) and does not require any device permissions. It's ad-free (no ads) except for any ads shown as part of the YouTube video. If you require total ad-free experience go for YouTube apps monthly subscription plan.
The app supports older phones and OS version. If you intend to use it on a slow 2G, 3G or 4g mobile connection, easily switch to a lower resolution. A low quality setting can also save a lot of data bandwidth, when you are more interested in listening to the music/audio.
While it can work standalone, Play Lite is not intended as a full replacement or alternative for the default Google YouTube app. It just provides a quicker way to play the videos if you don't want to go into the video details and comments. However, it does provide some additional functionality such as float play and loop play over the normal YouTube app. It does not support background play with screen off. Use the minimized floating window option instead to multi-task while listening to music or podcasts.
All videos are provided by YouTube and the app does not have any content of its own. If you have issues playing any video or need more video details easily switch to the official YouTube app anytime with just one click.
NOTE: The free version has a daily limit of one hour playback in floating window mode. There are no limits on Preview and Full-screen modes. In free version, only one playlist with up to 5 videos is possible. There are no limits, however, on YouTube Playlists. To create more unlimited playlists and unrestricted floating window playback, go for a one-time Pro upgrade from within the app.

1 ★Thought this app was supposed to make it so you use less data. Tried the same video once on YouTube, then tried through this app. First time through YouTube 8 minute video used 16 mb. Through this app it used about 4 mb for this app but it also used about 220 mb filtering it through YouTube. Uninstalling. I'd give it negative stars I could.
2 ★PROS: No Ads CONS:Needs more youtube based features. screen disappears after video ends can't run the app without leaving the screen on. have to choose which way you want the screen to be before watching the videos. no skip ahead feature. hard to access the quality option button when screen is in (bubble mode).
3 ★This app crashes sometimes and I wish it wouldn't make you retype the search results you were already looking at. Say you type in something and want to watch multiple videos. After you watch one it will go back to the home page or whatever channel you on.
3 ★I would like to give it a higher rating but I listened a lot on my Bluetooth and I can't pause it on Bluetooth when I have to answer the door or I need to turn on the vacuum cleaner because I can't clean up the mess without it. then I have to leave the room and go back to where the tablet is plugged in to pause it before I can do things like that. I thought the paid version would have Bluetooth feature. other than above the app works great since I got it.
1 ★Nice App, but after the latest update need google settings as support. Making it like Youtube Go. Google Setting, Google PlayStore, plus Youtube not to mention other apps, somehow give old phones inconvenience. Yes improving, innovating is part of progress but somehow be considerate to those who still using old phones (less phone storage than new release phones, higher phone storage in GB or TB). Thank You.

1 ★Pros:Having search options. Cons: In floating mode, no timeline bar for selection, player restart when change size. Also, cannot change playback mode from fullscreen to floating and vice versa. No search history. User should consider these downsides before upgrade to use floating mode.
5 ★add additional minutes for free users. i like it a lot but it stopped after the limited time of 3 minutes. i want to listen to more music like 5 to 30 minutes more. i wish you could also let the free users experience an ease.
1 ★What a scam. When I click on floating mode it just closes the thing. Clicking on floating mode does the same thing than clicking on the cross (X). Your app doesn't work and I paid 1$ for that. All I want is a YouTube app without ads
4 ★Cool app guys. I looked at reviews before downloading and they mostly said a lot of bad things about the app, but I love it. Just please add some closed captions directly come from YouTube, if you did that I would really love it. But otherwise, great app!
5 ★It is as good as the Original YouTube. I having problems on old YouTube, Error 910 & 510. As recommended, clear data, clear catcher, switch off and switch on. Don't work at all. Can't update keep showing Errors 910 and error 510.
