Description

Share the current web page when you are in a browser to open with another app!

Did it ever happen to you? You click a link (let's say a video link) and the system does not ask you anything and opens the link in the browser. And you are stuck in a web page instead of watching the video in the native app.

There are 2 options for you. You either watch the video in the web or you remember the name of the video and search it in the app. Well, not anymore.

With OpenLinkWith, you can share any webpage with it and it will ask you which applications to open the link with.

Although the original intent of the application is to direct web pages to apps, it can even be used to switch between apps. Imagine you have 2 Twitter clients in your phone. You can open a tweet in the official Twitter application and then switch to an another app with the same tweet opened. Cool, hah?

Although the problem discovered above is not huge, it is missing in the Android ecosystem. And I couldn't find anything doing this. So I wrote one. :)

If you find yourself sharing the same url over and over, you can use "Add to Home Screen" feature to add your favorite link from your favorite app to your home screen.

I hope you find this useful. Please help me by trying it and sending feedback to me.

Note:
The app uses internet to:
- Send crash reports
- Resolve redirects of shortened links
- Find the title of the link while using "Add to Home Screen"

The application is open source and the source can be found here:

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

5 ★Thank you for this app man it really is a life saver a life saver. One small problem tho some browsers like kiwi browser are appearing twice in the "open with" pop up. Other than that it's a perfect app and it does what it says perfectly.
2 ★Hasn't been very good at remaining the default browser app (the default being picked from webview api supported browser being the issue), of which I use this app to intercept and potentially stop links. If it stayed default it would be fine.
3 ★Doesn't always list apps. I will assume the fault is on Android's limitations so I won't go below 3 stars, but it definitely isn't working as intended.
3 ★This app worked perfectly on my Note 4 every time, but since changing to my Google Pixel it seems to have stopped functioning. When I share with 'Open Link With' there are no app options, it just defaults to the behaviour set by the browser.
5 ★it's a great app. it works perfectly but I need an app that does the same thing but instead of opening the link, shows the share options for that link again.
4 ★A very useful app. Still there are some "link leaks" to the web browser or you have to explicitly share the link in order for it to be opened in it's app.
5 ★I love this app! It's so handy - instead of dealing with dodgy mobile web versions, I can simply use this & open the corresponding app instead. Great with social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, & Instagram.
5 ★I love this app just amazing my links open in a minute and too easy to use... 👍 Great app 👌
1 ★Downloaded this because I needed promo messages link from SMS to open in Amazon app instead of browser where I need to sign-in again. Did not work at all, basically giving me the same options as the regular phone functionality.
1 ★Only supports a handful of apps, like Youtube and Amazon. Almost any other links will be opened in Chrome. The browser most android devices have by default has an "open in chrome" option to begin with making this redundant for most situations.
5 ★This app works marvelously! The BEST for setting default app to open certain types of links in. I have not the slightest idea why Android can't implement this into their OS. It's much needed.
1 ★It just says some error occured and hangs again and again....not my phone problem..
