KindleFree requires Root! This will not root your device!This application has only been tested on the Kindle Fire HD AND the Kindle Fire 2nd generation. Test at your own risk.

Using this application you can disable the Amazon homescreen, install a different launcher of your choice, and install the Android market!
The Pro version will allow you to install commonly used Google applications and will allow you to disable those pesky lockscreen ads that Amazon pushes to your device without having to pay them $15 to do so.

How to install KindleFree (Free) APK on Android phone or tablet?
Download KindleFree (Free) APK file from ApkClean, then follow these steps:
Update Phone Settings
- Go to your phone Settings page
- Tap Security or Applications (varies with device)
- Check the Unknown Sources box
- Confirm with OK
