Description

The Omni Utility App provides extended functionality for your Omni loudspeakers including over-the-air MCU firmware updates. Make sure your product always remains current and up-to-date by using this App to download and install new firmware to your speaker.

The Utility App also allows you switch input sources and volume of your Omni A1. You can also send it optimized DSP parameters, making sure you are getting the best sound for whatever speakers you have connected!

2 ★Very unstable!

1 ★Worst application ever. Can't use because it won't update. Tried over 100 times for 2 hours.

1 ★I too had hoped this would correct some of the problems I had with the Android controller, but it has no point since the little it does is done in the other Polk app. It does update the firmware.

1 ★DOESN'T WORK!!!!! This app is required to update the POLK OMNI APP. But when it links you to launch the Utility there's a message that it's "not available" and needs to download with a USB? WHAT? Even Tech Support doesn't know what the heck is going on! Every time POLK does an "update" it just makes things worse! I agree with the other post - why do we need ANOTHER APP to do the same thing the existing one does? Also, the utility cannot be viewed in "landscape." You have no choice but to view it vertically. That's nuts if you're using a tablet! Crazy making at it's absolute supreme best!

2 ★No access to EQ settings for Polk Omni s2

1 ★I eagerly awaited this hoping that it would fix some of the many shortcomings and missing features of the polls app itself. It does "nothing" as far as I can tell but let you update the speaker firmware. They need a second app for that? It does NOT let you group the speakers of create channels for music apps to speaker groups. Grrr.

3 ★It jitters once in a while. It's not the best app, yet it's ok (hence 3 stars). I bet if youtube was included with no flaws in it, many of us would give it a higher rating. They need to also provide other music services, but we all know that the the greed in them will never cause them to work with all (without the selfish bureaucracy) to create the best, so for now it's an ok app. Nothing special for me to say "WOW what a great app"...Nope...not here.

3 ★When does Polk plan on adding a real equalizer? I currently have another external device with bass/treble adjustments to correct streaming music balance, but it would be really nice to have it built-in. I have a feeling that Play-Fi will soon become the modern day Laserdisc. *Update* So.... it's been a year now since the last firmware update. Still no real EQ.
