2 ★It works as stated in that you can see catch any random force close when trying to figure out an issue, however it seems dev needs to code the menu button for lollipop up. Seems only coded for dedicated hardware button and not soft keys. The 3 dot menu option is not available. This essentially makes the tool useless to me as I need to extract and email the logs. Dev please update app

5 ★I originally DLed this app to help a developer debug his game. It came in handy a few other times as well for other apps. Recently, however, when I tried using it, I discovered that with the new version of Android, CatLog is blocked from seeing what other apps are doing. It is now effectively useless, unless I decide to root my phone--and maybe one day, I will, but not now. I'll keep it anyway, just in case things change.

4 ★Useful, but it get weird rendering issues while scrolling. Glyphs remain in place while also moving so the screen becomes unreadable until I stop scrolling. Look into hardware/software rendering plz.

3 ★Good app, but when i scroll up to read previous logs during live view, it autoscrolls away from what I'm reading, causing me to lose my place.

4 ★It works without root after enabling the READ_LOGS permission for it, using adb: `pm grant org.jtb.alogcat android.permission.READ_LOGS` and restarting the app. This is needed on the newer Android versions. Please update the description to get one more start.

4 ★Every so often while debugging issues, I come across multiple lines from logcat requesting su, notifications that it has gained/lost focus, etc. It would be very useful if there was a setting to hide any lines containing the package name or uid or other app-specific identifiers (possibly disabled automatically after a crash).

4 ★If your phone can't handle older apps that require hard buttons you should change phone! To all that don't know how, buy an iPhone instead and don't blame the developer... My S8 will show the three dots in the navigation bar and on my old S7 I long pressed on the back button and it will show the menu. How hard can it be?

2 ★Sometimes hang on filter screen. Also, app need to use new Android navigation method instead of menu key as this key is obsolete in newer Android devices.

5 ★Great app, and NO ROOT NEEDED! Just use the adb command "adb -d shell pm grant com.nolanlawson.logcat android.permission.READ_LOGS" and you can read all logs without having to root your device or use a custom rom.

1 ★Was good, started to glitch out recently. Not usable on a Oneplus One running CM 13

4 ★I cannot open log file in logcat. I liked the way log is displayed in this app but I can't view the file in it. Also the pause button stops working if try to open file.
