Disclaimer: The game is only available in English.Magium is a DnD inspired text adventure game similar to old Choose your own story books (CYOA), in which you play as an ordinary guy named Barry, who joins a deadly mage tournament against the most powerful mages in the world in the hopes of using the prize to fulfill his lifelong dream of becoming a mage himself.
As in all interactive novels, your choices will affect the story, and making wrong choices can even lead to your death. Besides the traditional choice making of regular Choose your own path games, Magium also has stats that you can upgrade with points that you will receive occasionally, throughout the game. These stats will be checked by the game from time to time, to see if they are high enough to allow you to perform certain actions. For example, if your ancient languages stat is high enough, you can understand what animals and monsters are saying.
The story of Magium starts at the beginning of the tournament, right after you and all the other participants were transported to the continent where the contest was taking place, and it is set in a medieval fantasy setting, with a dash of futuristic looking magical devices, which are relics of an ancient, technologically advanced civilization that crumbled hundreds of years before the beginning of the series. The world in which the story takes place is somewhat inspired from Dungeons and Dragons, so if you've played DnD before, you will likely find some similarities, especially regarding the magic system.
As the story progresses, you will meet with other participants, you will make friends and enemies, and you will find out more about the continent you are on, and its inhabitants. You will find out that a person called "The Creator" had established several utopias in this place, six hundred years ago, where animals and humans lived in harmony, and food was created through magic. What you will get to see, however, is the downfall of these utopias, some of them being on the brink of destruction. Your choices will influence what happens in these cities, and you can even choose to save them if you so desire.
The game will be divided into six or seven books, each of them consisting of more than a hundred thousand words.
The first book is now available in its entirety, and it can be played for free. It is approximately 178k words long, which translates to about 700 book pages. This number also takes into account the story's branching paths. The length of a playthrough on average should be about 90k words, so about 350 book pages.
The second book is now available in its entirety, but the next books have not been written yet, and they will be published chapter by chapter, as I write them. Unlike the first book, the second one will need to be unlocked before it can be played, and it will be the same for the next books as well. In order to unlock the second book, you will either need to complete 25 of the 35 available achievements, or pay to unlock it. All of the next books will also be unlockable in the same way.
The second book is 277k words in total, on all paths, which translates to about 1100 book pages. On one path, you should be seeing around half of those words, so roughly 140k, which would translate to 550 book pages or so.

5 ★I absolutely love this! Amazing story, characters, lore, implementation of stats, and use of achievements to help you unlock different events! My only issue is how often romance with the women (and only women) is pushed.
5 ★The story is really good, and add that with multiple paths to make And choose from, makes it overwhelmingly good, but God trying to stay in one path is hard, Best way is to make separate save files with different paths for Kate, Rose, Leia etc?but the story is still incomplete so not yet and that Melindra messing up my main storyline(first storyline unaffected by achiev or love) to choose to sleep only or the other "sleep together"w/ her or be a gentleman to Kate is pain itself, stick to sleep!
5 ★Best story choice game I've played so far! The story it self is well written and the characters are also good, each with their own quirks. You can also continue the story for free as long as you get enough achievements which is awesome, I'm currently on book 3 and still enjoying it untill now. It's alot more interesting as well as each choice might have an influence on the story later on , the author did a great job on this and I hope it will continue till the end
5 ★Honestly, one of the best games I've played to this day. There's 2 full books available and the 3rd one is about 70% done. I've just finished book one (twice) and i am starting book 2! This game has SO MANY different content, SO MANY choices and different paths, I'm actually surprised. A small choice you made at the first chapter results in some of the biggest events at the middle-end section of the game. I HIGHLY recommend this game to anyone who likes text based games w/ choices.
5 ★Absolutely superb CYOA novel. I seriously haven't been able to put it down for three days. Great scenarios, excellent supporting characters and laugh out loud humour. The lore is amazing too as the story reveals more about the game universe. Loved it so much I already bought both the books and this is my first ever review. Can't wait to read the full story as it's written.
5 ★Really wish there was an autosave, because I forget to save sometimes. But other than that it is a great game. So happy I bought the books too! I've had this game since before it even had more than 50k downloads even, everyone in the 1 star reviews haven't read past the first few chapters and aren't reading the actual dialogues, everything has a reason and this gane is great, everyone should try it out!
5 ★An excellent choose your own adventure book with meaningful choices, an interesting world and lovable characters. This is probably the most fun I've had with any game on the play store and it's also the most generous. There are no ads and all of the content can be unlock by simply playing! If you have any interest in interactive fiction or even just fantasy books in general, you owe it to yourself to try this app.
5 ★Compelling and interesting story. The mechanic is classic so the writing must be strong. This game gives exactly that. I'm still on my first run so everything is still fresh. This game might stale after a few runs but I suppose a great game doesn't have to be a game that you play endlessly but the one that leaves a mark.
5 ★Well written adventure. As a writer I often frown on sloppy stories or poor character development. This has none of that. The characters and adventure all unfold at a wonderful pace that really keeps you wondering what's next. Well done!

The stats mechanic makes this much more intriguing and always keeps you thinking about how you want to make decisions based on the stats you decided to upgrade. I spend my work breaks reading this and its one of those books you just don't want to put down. Looking forward to the next book! Keep up the good writing!
5 ★This is a really interesting story. And you get to choose the development of the main character, whoever made this is not only gifted... but is also really creative! The lore of the world is really interesting, and the relationships you can build based on your stats are all diverse. Like a whole new set of characters and dialogues that are unlocked simply by upgrading your understanding of ancient languages.
5 ★A well written story with a cool atmosphere and interesting idea. The characters have fun personalities and the conversations feel real. There are many choices you can make and with all each having different dialog options and little storys. Although the whole cost money, if you play the game alot you can unlock the rest for free. I hope they make the rest of the chapters soon.
