4 ★There is a glitch with luck purchases at crucial moments; I boosted mana to make a choice, the choice remained grayed out so my only option was a 100% death result, and then the luck and boosted mana were both gone upon returning to my last decision. It's frustrating. The writing also needs an editor at times, for spelling and continuity. All that said, it's pretty solid for what it is, and much less money-grubbing thus far than equivalent CYOA type stories.
5 ★Absolutely love this app. Lots of various interesting stories with a variety of different characters. I read most of the stories for free before deciding to pay for the add free option since I've enjoyed the stories so much. Highly recommend, the ring city stories are incredibly engaging. There are also other free stories available from other genres (ex zombies, supernatural detective, Oregon trail, etc.).
5 ★I was not sure at first, I enjoy reading, but as a game it can obviously come off tedious. This is a great game though!!! Reminds me of the "choose your own travels" books kind of fun. Thanks guys, and yes more of these kinds of games with varying themes/storylines could end up popular. Wouldnt hurt to add a few more visuals, it is the age we are in afterall.
5 ★1st experience at this style of gaming since I played on my old TRS-80 (black and green screen). The game asked me to rate it at the 1st checkpoint. At this level of the game, I would have to say that it is thuroughly enjoyable and I am looking forward to returning back to it. As I read along, it is descriptive enough that I can see many images in my head as the drawings are of great artistic quality & help with the images. Storyline is really good as I absorb myself into it. FUN! - peacebestill
5 ★While the story writers seem to have very specific ideas in mind for the path you should take, this has been so far a fun interactive text based RPG. You sometimes can eliminate having any choice how things proceed if not careful (very. specific. ideas.) but definitely a wonderful way to kill time and exercise your brain with thought provoking scenarios. Definitely recommend taking a look.
4 ★I'm on part 6 of wizards choice. I played through it in less than 24 hours time I couldn't put it down. Unfortunately I'm now stuck and can't progress without more coins despite scoring top or second in all chapters. I would gladly pay a couple of bucks per adventure, I don't want all the books so the $30 doesn't seem worth it to me. Otherwise amazing story, it's enthralling (pun intended!) Gritty action packed and sometimes even challenging!
5 ★These books are by far the best of their genre. I have read many others with choices that are just common sense. Two choices and its obvious which one is correct. I love the ability to have many choices and none of them being the obvious click. I enjoy the luck, mana and being able to return to a chapter or checkpoint. I do wish there were more ways to increase luck other than just acheivments. It would be nice to be able to watch a video to upgrade your luck and mana. Otherwise, much love!
5 ★So far it has been an excellent collection of interactive stories! The UI itself is straight forward and easy to use. I haven't yet read every story available (there is a lot of content) but what I have read has been well written, exciting, and engaging! It's fun for me to sit and ponder each choice from the character's POV to decide which option is the smartest or most logical in each situation. Overall I've thoroughly enjoyed this app and its stories and recommend it to any who love reading!
4 ★It's a lot of fun but I just finished the paladins story and figured out, like many choose your own adventure stories, you dont really have choices. I wanted the wolves to win. Going as far as getting not bad for the humans and perfect scores on the wolves and still they lost. It's just annoying when that happens. It just doesn't feel optional anymore.
5 ★As a GM for a table top rpg, this is what we do. The descriptions, the impending doom, the interesting choices a character can make to solve the current problem. Some are perfect or brilliant. Some let you escape, but you might take a slight ding. Or you can mess up royalty and have your adventure cut short. The added pictures give it a very nice storybook feel to it.
4 ★Awesome game for interactive readers for $20 no more ads worth it and plenty of luck. Unless you are just stupid and do not pay attention to small details for the next choice. Besides you can restart the chapter and get back to where you were to begin with in seconds. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because of the time in between each new update takes too long. I know it only has 1 author but still.
4 ★I've completed chapter 1 of Wizard's Choice. Some choices aren't really choices bc you end up doing the same thing no matter what you choose, but I guess that's true with most games that offer choices. Its great that it adds up everything as you go along and at some pt you get to spend luck pts to boost up your life or mana stats which really helps. I also only saw a few ads which were very short videos. I'd probably give it 5 🌟's if you could choose the option for a female player point of view.
