Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

5 ★I used to be an amateur wild flower identifier, I did it for about a year. I read about all the terminology in botany or the glossary of flower identification, I got pretty familiar with terms, but I found I couldn’t ‘key-out’ in the flower identification books, and certainly not on the spot, it was too difficult. This app solves all that! It’s amazing! I would have paid more or even annually for this app. Get it in combination with Wild Flower Key books!
1 ★Does not give any indication in app store listing that it costs money. Does not indicate that in order to use it you have to create a login just to try it for 3 days or a week. The listing says free with some ads. It should say free trial or a starting price . The price is not the problem, it's the false expectation. When you install a ''free'' app you expect it to work with ads. Please be more up front with how your app works
1 ★This app has annoying notifications (system level notifications, not in-app notifications) to goad you into buying the premium version. I find that very annoying. I tried this program on a plant with flowers in a botanical garden (so I had a positive control) and it didn't work. I don't think this app can handle the California flora, which is very diverse.
1 ★I tested it in my garden cause I had a couple of plant that we weren't sure of. The app got one or 2 out of 10 correct and gave me different results when I took multiple pictures of the same plant. I watched their tutorial twice to make sure I was doing it correctly. Then after 10 pictures you have the choice to pay $ for their bad services or watch an advertisement video to continue.
3 ★The app is very glitchy, and a little unpleasant to navigate. I love the Community photo section, but I have not been able to post the screen keep bouncing me back to crop the photos. The identifying feature is relatively accurate and has helped a lot and figuring out what I have in my yard. Please take a look at the photo posting side of theings???
1 ★1 out of 5 pictures taken actually identified the plant. Annoying ads every time you had to retake a picture. Update to the developer response. I'm a professional photographer and know framing and focus. It not identifying the plant is only a quarter of the problem. If I'm on a walk I don't want to have to watch or see a 15- 30 second add every time your app gets it wrong. If you're attempting to build a database you should have a minimal amount of ads so users can actually use the app.
1 ★A lot of identifications are inaccurate. Not sure if this is crowd sourced and the users submitting photos are just wrong about their submissions or if the AI is subpar. I know several IDs I've tried to find out a specific type of plant eg fern, oak, maple and the app returns a plant that isn't even close. update: pics were clear, properly framed, and taken in broad daylight. Your huge database is inaccurate. I've already uninstalled and moved on.
1 ★You get 3 snaps per day with the free version, but you can add more by watching an add. No problem at all with that. After 3-4 days it would stall out during the identifying process or give me some off the wall ID. I would use the exact same picture and get 3 different ID's. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, which did not help. I don't recommend it for that reason.
2 ★I downloaded the app this morning and have taken a number of photos of plants and the program seems to be searching but never reports any findings. I finally to a pic of a rose bush thinking it could easily identify it but the same thing all process no results. It appears to be a waste of time for me. I was very close to purchasing the upgrade but worried it would be the same just without all of the ads. Very disappointed.
4 ★I use this app fairly frequently and it has mostly served me well :) I don't think one will ever get a perfect answer all the time, but some times it is way off the mark. The app makes up for these errors in ID by being more robust than just something that will tell you the name of the plant. I do like that it gives a range of possible matches and that it includes info on how to grow the plant and even where to buy it. If only the photo galleries were as well curated as the rest it would be a 5.
5 ★This is a great app! I absolutely love it! I wish there was a way I could contribute more. As long as you follow the rules for a good snap, you will ALWAYS get accurate results. Some prior knowledge of plants may be required in order to tell which suggestion your particular specimen may be, as the algorithm usually narrows it down to several closely related species.
1 ★If I could give this zero stars, I would. I bought the year subscription thinking it would be a good idea but, I was wrong. The free version only gives a select amount of snaps for one day. Buying the subscription gives you a few more options but the identification of the plants needs a lot of work. There is no clear way to unsubscribe and delete your account. But I deleted it anyways. Then I was charged for the subscription and I complained to the app. They responded by charging me more.
