1 ★Downloaded to try and identify some flowers growing in my yard. The camera feature gives a weirdly distorted image that looks nothing like pictures I take with my phone. It stretches the image long-ways for some reason. The app also kept insisting on starting my "free" premium trial (which I'm not interested in). Deleting.
1 ★BEWARE!! App is good. I do not do monthly or annual subscriptions. I will sometimes do a one time purchase but not subscriptions. You have charged me $32.09 for a Gold membership which I did not ask for and definitely not for a app I only use a very few times per year. This app makes it extremely difficult to get refunded and to cancel subscription. BEWARE!!
5 ★Love this app. I use it to help look up and determine what the plant, flower, fungus, etc. is, and then we research and make sure it's correct. My 13 year old daughter and I enjoy this while we are hiking in the beautiful Smokey Mountains. I love living and being able to see them daily! Quick edit: Today is 12/13/23. The app did an update, and now it's completely useless. I could no longer identify any type of plants, mushrooms, or trees! It's so bad I uninstalled the app. -☆☆ its that bad.
1 ★Did not find this app helpful at all. My sister likes it but she is OK with only being given one or two free plant identification features every once in a while. And so many annoying pop-ups to upgrade to the pro version. Awful user experience. Finally, the plant ID diagnosis could use some work. I had a yellowing zz and it absolutely didn't help me at all.
5 ★I went around my property and took pictures of about a dozen different plants and trees and it correctly identified everything right away. The only issue is if you get too far away from your house where the Wi-Fi Inns in your cell phone signal has not picked up yet you may run into an issue. Other than that I really cool app I just wish it was not so expensive and I will keep it.
5 ★I use this app almost daily so that I can identify the plants in my area. most identifications are accurate to my understanding. It's been a great learning tool! as someone who uses it as frequently as I do, it was worth it for me to upgrade to premium, but I did find that the requests to upgrade a bit overbearing before I did upgrade. Truthfully, $20 for a year of service ($1.67/month) is well worth not having to play the mini games or share the app with friends, in my opinion.
2 ★Seemed like a good app so I tried the 'free' trial for 6 days. I found some misidentifications between walnut and hickory and feel it should recognize these since there is unique differences in the leaf/branch structure. It also sees mature growth as one species and new growth as an entirely different species. To top it off 'they' want complete access to every bit of your business which they don't need plus they make it as difficult as possible to unsubscribe. I'll look for something else.
3 ★The app is great. However, I'm giving it 3 stars because while it says you get a 7-day free trial, hidden in the fine print is the fact that you have to cancel 24 hours in advance of the final day to avoid being charged. I definitely should have checked into this more, but the company could have been more up front about the policy, since typically you get charged for things if you cancel *after* the free trial actually ends, not before.
4 ★I love this app....perfect in almost every way. Easily identifies my plants and gives me tons of great info about them. Only one complaint....although there are watering reminders, you have to open the app to see them. I wish I would just get notifications on my phone when it's time to water. Having to remember to look at the app every few days to remember when to water defeats the purpose of reminders anyways. Otherwise, fantastic app!!
3 ★The free app is excellent!!!! I'm being generous with the 3 stars, because... The level of insanity that these developers have caused an incredible app to suck so bad, is the Unbelievable and relentless way of trying to confuse you into thinking the app won't continue without choosing to purchase the premium. You'll see.... it's awful! Again, I'll say, the actual app is phenomenal, but the sales controls the look. Just get good at not clicking on the over bearing screen in the beginning
1 ★This app was a complete waste of time.. signed up and paid for a membership then spent almost 45 minutes trying submit photos over and over and over again only to be told can not be identified over and over again. I took photos in different light, solid backgrounds so to have no background confusing the app, YES they were crisp,, clear photos.. but still, no luck. Not paying for a plant identifier that can't even read the photos.
1 ★The app itself is fine, but the subscription model is terrible. I had paid for an annual subscription last year. When I upgraded my phone and reinstalled the app, picture this had increased their subscription price, which is fine, but now I can't access the subscription features despite the play store recognizing that I have an older and active subscription. I essentially front loaded payment and was cut off from features when they increased their price, which is terrible.
