INGREDIENTS
1/2 lb egg noodles
1 lb of lean meat
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon of ginger, grated
1/4 teaspoon powder five spices
2 1/2 tbsp oil
1/2 cup of soy sauce
1/2 cup duck broth or 1/2 cup chicken broth
2 teaspoons cornstarch
4 teaspoons of water
6 leeks, sliced
DIRECTIONS
Cook noodles in boiling salted water only until tender; drain, and rinse with cold water.
Cut the beef into a very thin slice.
Mix together with garlic, salt, ginger, and five-season powder, and add the mixture to the beef; mix.
Heat the oil and stir-fry the beef over low heat for 2 minutes.
Combine soy sauce and broth, and add to beef; bring to a boil.
Combine cornstarch with the remaining 4 tsp water, stir into the beef and cook until smooth and thick.
Add the noodles, stir well and heat it whole.
Add the green onion, and stir for another minute.
Serve immediately.
