Description
CodeMyPlant rassemble des scientifiques, des élèves et des citoyens autour d’un objectif commun: réaliser le premier inventaire génétique de la flore genevoise. Pour cela, ce sont près de 1500 espèces de plantes qui doivent être répertoriées, collectées et transmises à un laboratoire pour être ensuite analysées et mises en collection aux Conservatoire et jardins botaniques. Une banque ADN et une base de donnée génétique permettront alors aux chercheurs de mieux comprendre l’évolution de la biodiversité à une échelle fine. La base de donnée servira aussi d'outil de référence pour identifier des échantillons de plantes abimés ou immatures.Pour participer, créez votre profil et demandez vos kits de collecte. Utilisez le guide pour identifier des plantes, vérifier lesquelles ont déjà été analysées et lesquelles sont protégées. Des tutoriels vous guideront pas à pas jusqu’à la transmission de vos échantillons aux scientifiques, puis vous serez tenus informés des résultats obtenus.
Simple curieux? Profitez de cette application gratuite pour découvrir la flore genevoise et identifier des plantes rencontrées au gré de vos promenades. Vous pourrez aussi tenir un carnet de terrain en toute simplicité ou encore consulter les observations des autres participants, sans aucune obligation de participer au projet.
CodeMyPlant est un projet mené par le Bioscope de l’Université de Genève, en partenariat avec les Conservatoire et jardins botaniques de la Ville de Genève, l’association Swissbol et la fondation Info Flora.
