Description

Learn to read sheet music and improve your sight-reading skills with Music Tutor. Develop your speed and accuracy in reading sheet music by identifying music notes in timed sessions. Choose to practice between treble, bass and/or alto clefs for a duration of 1, 5 or 10-minute sessions. Music Tutor helps with ear training and practicing your listening (aural) skills. During the practice session, every note is displayed along with the sound of the note (this feature can also be turned off if not necessary).

After each test, you can review your mistakes and see your progress. There is also an option to set the range for practice, making this an ideal app for both beginners and advanced students. Music Tutor also supports Solfège (Do, Re, Mi, Fa, Sol, La, Si or Ti) and German note names.

Music Tutor also comes with a sheet music reference chart for treble, bass and alto clefs that you can use to quickly grasp the names of all the notes. As you use Music Tutor, you can keep track of your progress and improvement using the Stats page.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

3 ★Not bad but I don't like the timed exercises. There should be plenty of exercises that are not timed so one can take their time to figure out the notes under no time pressure.
4 ★This app was perfect until they updated it!!!!! Now I can't set the range to how I want... I've messed with it 20 times and it still is giving me notes way outside my range. The reference page doesn't show me what a G4 or a C3 is so I have no idea where to set it. I thought with some guess and check I could figure it out, but sadly after 20 tries still no success. The sliders are absolutely awful! Please add these new weird numbers to your reference page or find another way to incorporate custom range. This doesn't work. Because of the helpful comment i was able to set my range and I've been convinced to change my first 1 star rating... i shouldn't have to go though this hassle though.
3 ★Helps teach you the names of the notes, but it seems like it puts you straight into a test without study time. I'd like to be able to listen to them beforehand. Sharp and flat are also ignored in the notes names introduction. I know that those exist, but I can't remember which one's which. One sort of looks like a lowercase b, the other kind of like a number symbol. #
4 ★Great app. I like the flexibility and how they gamify the test. I think more practical feedback in to the test results would be useful. I.e. the point system is entirely relative. I know I am progressing but how will I know if my reading is sufficient. I understand that is also relative to the difficulty of what we want to attempt but why not include some structure to define competency better.
4 ★This is an overall quality app to learn how to sight read or for learning how to read a staff in general, timed exercises are nice as is the ability add sharps and flats to the mix. Two improvements to the app would be an in app metronome to practice along to and the ability to add in key signatures so you can practice in a specific key.
5 ★This app is amazing! It gives reference to the bass, treble and alto. The quiz as well is really good as you can select which type of quiz you do in options. You can have the quiz only show notes that aren't sharps or flats, you can select which types of notes (bass, treble, alto) which is amazing! Would definitely recommend this app
4 ★Really nice to use this as a sightreading practise tool. As an improvement: it would be nice to see what kind of notes you miss often. (over a longer term) And then you could learn these better. Or also a mode where you have multiple notes at once and should identify them all. This would be a more real sightreading experience.
5 ★I thought that this would be helpful, but when I select the correct note B, it marks it wrong, correct answer H !? No more to be said! ** Humble apologies! Somehow I had selected the German option, where B is H , I've now selected English and it works great! --Rick
5 ★This app is great for reteaching myself to read sheet music! Love being able to adjust the range of notes so I can focus on a small section at a time. A lot of reviews say the Ads are crazy but im only getting them in between quizes and they dont bother me at all.
5 ★This is a fun and simple game that really helps you memorize notes. There are some things that they could add to make it better (like some simple lessons or acronyms to help memorize the note order) but overall it is still a great game that does help.
5 ★Simple. Because of that it is incredibly good for what it does! This can most definitely be used to learn sheet music because of how intuiative it is! Also does have "Do, Re, Mi... Etc."! Can not recommend enough!
4 ★Simple, straightforward, the addition of the alto clef is very welcome. Good for people beginning to know their clefs, and the option to review mistakes a good idea, gives some time to work out some of the trickier notes when people feel a bit rushed counting through the clef during the actual play.
