4 ★I installed and paid for this about a week ago, so far I am very pleased though I have not explored some of the aspect of it. There is a good range of music and I particularly like that most of it is availble for players at diffferent stages of learning. I would like to see filters for sop, alto, tenor and bari saxes , I suspect clarinet players would lie to be able to apply similar filters for clarinets.
4 ★Too bad you can't go back to your previous search and preferences after clicking on a given piece. The search goes back to the default settings and you have to set your filters all over again every single time you just want to open the full score of a given piece. A "Go back to the previous search" option would save a lot of time and frustration. Initially I gave 5 stars, but I have to take away one because of that very problem. Nonetheless, all in all a great application.
2 ★Some interesting and creative arrangements of songs, love the difficulty option also! Like the orchestral accompaniment - better quality than most. However as a pianist and saxophone player I find the library is currently small and very limited. There seems to be 2 or 3 new songs added once a month(most of which dont interest me) but I don't think that's quite enough for a monthly subscription service. Have paid for the year but will be looking elsewhere for the new year.
5 ★Overall, I think tomplay is a great app. Loads of classical music to choose from and the backing tracks are fantastic quality. The flexibility to annotate your score is also great! The search facility is still a bit buggy at times and it would be good to have more modern music but it is one of the best sheet music apps I have come across.
5 ★I absolutely love this app. The quality of the recordings is far better than most and being able to select what audio track you want to hear make it easy to play along with. Having a visual indicator of where you're at while playing also helps immensely. The wide variety of available music with constant updates is nice too. The only con I can say is I love playing so much I run out of new songs to play. The library of songs could be bigger, but they are adding more frequently.
3 ★took a couple months for a reply on signing in while my script was being paid for but once they replied access is ok . i have to reset my password every once in a while but at least i know how to deal with that glitch now. i think the app is great in the way it functions actually dig it very much , my only issue is honestly the very limited scores available in the genres I am interested in. worth the money i can see it is improving and hope it continues , thank you Tomplay .
1 ★It's just a sales pitch. To do anything meaningful, you must open an account and start a 14-day trial (which I assume req's a credit card). Otherwise you get 3 beginner-level pieces (no matter what experience level you chose), and that's it. [EDIT:] Thanks for your reply. I see no way to access any other scores without starting the trial. (And $120/year to join—really??) Also, you can't exit the app! I had to open my system settings, return to home screen, and close the app manually. Hard sell!
1 ★Okish. It's ok but there's too many versions that you have to pay individually for. You should have access to all levels once you've bought one version. Also feel cheated, as Fitzgerald Georgia alto sax version easy/intermediate doesn't have the solo from bar 37 as on the sound preview. As you can only preview the first page you have to go off the audio sample. If I'd have known that I would have looked at a different version
4 ★I enjoy this app very much. As a pianist from way back, I always missed the opportunity to play music with others, and this app gives me that. The choice of music is good, a mix of pop/rock, movie music and classical. The only issue I have is that the sync is not always spot on - the moving bar to tell me where I am when playing with an orchestra. This could be because I am using device mirroring to get the accompaniment to come from my sound system, surely not an unreasonable thing to do.
5 ★I've just started but it's brilliant. Vertical scrolling and ability to annotate particularly good.
1 ★Not impressed with the customer service. Worse still with the technical support. Lodged a download issue some week ago and have since sent a reminder. Disappointingly, I have yet to receive even an acknowledgement! My biggest regret is to buy a one-year subscription. Otherwise I would have stopped my subscription straight away! Granted, Tomplay has a range of song selection. But there are quite a few similar providers now in the market place.
5 ★Just started with app ( grade 8 level "mature student," ) and so far am really impressed with its functionality and ease of use! Will definitely be making greater use of this in future!
