1 ★I downloaded the app today, 9/7. The app says you will get a trial period and that I would not be billed until 9/14, but it forces you to select a billing method first. Unfortunately, they billed me immediately. Additionally, it makes it seem the fee would be monthly, but it is actually an annual subscription, so I was charged $40 for an app that I haven't even tried yet, and I am now locked in for a year.
1 ★I Got Scammed I had a similar experience to others it sounds like... I tried to add payment info for access to a free trial, and was duped into paying $40 for an annual subscription. I've tried to reach out to their support email but haven't heard back. Let's hope they provide a refund as I don't have a use for this subscription. Also, the app keeps crashing.
1 ★I updated the app and I can't open any songs because they're 'unsupported' and when it does work, I can't adjust the zoom so I can actually see the music. It's slow, unresponsive, unusable. It seems everything under the sun these days doesn't work and if you want it to you have to pay an arm and a leg. Please, fix your app.
1 ★What is even the point of having the app when it's a worse experience than the web browser, which is already a pretty low bar. I paid money for this, and now, suddenly, the paywalls have changed, so I'm now locked out of content I previously had access to in my library. I am disappointed each time I am forced to use this horrible service.
2 ★I like Musescore on desktop (in-fact, I'd downright love it if it dealt with tabs/fretted instruments/capos better), but the android app is barely functional. It won't even load half of my own scores successfully. It also treats me like a new user most of the time. It tries to get me to pay for lessons on top of my yearly subscription to the service.
1 ★DO NOT BUY THIS APP. I gave 1 star as 0 was not possible. I was using Flowkey (which is excellent) but I wanted to try a different experience. I downloaded this app and immediately regretted it. It is the most buggy app I have come across in ages. Buttons dont respond when clicked. Advertisements for better proces than I paid being shown in banners. Pay extra for learning modules. Website experience the same. Awful. Avoid.
1 ★It requires you have a membership before you can even see the library, and sure you can start with the 7 day free trial, but you'll miss out on that CRAZY sale cuz this is the first time you've ever opened this app, oh sorry I mean "Fall sale" and you're like yeah it's on that crazy sale let's get the upgraded version, I love sheet music, only to open it up to an absolute garbage library. Garbage.
4 ★The app is great overall, the only problem is that sometimes there is a song that I want to play that is a musescore 4 file , but the app doesn't support musescore 4 files. So what I have or do is open up the musescore website, search up the song again, find the same one that I tried to open on the app, and THEN I can play the song.
1 ★Used to be a great app but now won't recognize my sign-in even though I just renewed subscription for a year. After research I find other Android users are experiencing same issue. Musescore will go out of business soon if they don't fix quickly! I have close to 50 students and many will not renew subscriptions even though it used to be a useful app.
1 ★None of the scores open on my (up to date) Galaxy s23. They say the app is turned off in the background, or that the score is unavailable, with which error message I receive chosen at random. If this does not improve I will ask for a refund. It's a shame, this worked fine a few months ago on my previous phone (an s10).
2 ★I've found some good songs for piano music, but I got the subscription thing and payed for it and come to find out there's still more you have to pay for to access some songs which sucks cause you don't have a ton to choose from anyway if your looking for piano music. Also it won't let me view pieces cause of bugs and stuff a lot of the time and it's just not worth paying for imo. It has a ton of bugs and they might go away for a little bit but they always come back so it's useless to try fix.
1 ★I downloaded the free trial and decided It wasn't what I was looking for. They market that you can "cancel anytime" but the only way (that I could find) is via requesting a refund (69.99 ) through Google Play, not through musecore's app interface or website at all . If that doesn't work I'll have to dispute it with my credit card. Pretty dishonest. . .
