Med Mobilvarsling kan du blive advaret direkte med en alarmlyd på din smartphone, når myndighederne advarer om større ulykker i dit område.App’en kan advare dig, hvis du befinder dig i ulykkesområdet. Du kan også blive vælge at blive advaret, når advarslerne gælder områder, du har valgt på forhånd – for eksempel hvor din familie eller venner bor. Du kan selv vælge hvilke typer af hændelser, du vil advares om, og hvorvidt du vil have notifikationer med lyd eller ej.
Du skal give app’en tilladelse til at sende notifikationer, men bestemmer selv, om du vil have lokationsbaserede advarsler (via telefonens GPS), vælge advarsler til i en eller flere kommuner - eller begge dele. I app’ens indstillinger kan du ændre de områder, du ønsker at modtage notifikationer om, hvilke typer af advarsler, du ønsker at modtage, og hvilken lyd, du ønsker at blive alarmeret med.
App’en udsender advarsler:
• Når myndigheder udsender beredskabsmeddelelser
• Når DMI udsender varsler om storm, orkan, kraftig regn, skybrud og snestorm
• Når Vejdirektoratet udsender særmeldinger om akutte motorvejs- og brospærringer af længere varighed
