Pink cardstock, one sheet
Pink Valentine sentiment stickers: LOVE; XOXO
Pink satin ribbon, 1/4" x 1 yd.
Pink eyelet and eyelet setter
Tools
Pencil
Ruler
Scissors: straight-edge; scallop-edge
Straight pins
Low-temp glue gun and glue sticks
Thick, white craft glue or paper glue
Instructions
Note: Use straight-edge scissors for cutting, unless otherwise
indicated.
1. Trace large foam heart twice onto back of polka dot paper.
Cut out hearts just beyond traced line using scallop-edge
scissors. Use white glue or paper glue to adhere paper to
front and back of foam.
2. Cut several long, 1"-wide strips from one edge of sheet
music paper. Adhere overlapping strips around heart edges,
completely covering foam surface.
3. Cut large heart pattern as indicated. Adhere heart to top
of large foam heart.
4. Fold remaining sheet music paper in half, right sides
together. Place rounded top of small heart pattern just above
fold as indicated and trace onto paper. Cut on traced lines,
leaving rounded tops attached. Adhere heart-shaped card to
dark pink paper and trim, leaving narrow border. Adhere card
to pink cardstock; trim using scallop-edge scissors.
5. Cut small heart pattern from single layer of pink toile
paper; use white glue or paper glue to adhere heart to inside
bottom of heart-shaped card.
6. Adhere heart-shaped card to top of small foam heart. Cut a
long, 1/2"-wide strip from sheet music paper and glue around
edge of foam heart.
7. Cut two 1" x 12" polka dot paper strips; overlap and glue
ends to create one long strip. Mark back of strip every 1/2"
and accordion fold on lines. Glue ends of strip together to
create rosette shape; dab center with hot glue to secure.
8. Use glue gun to glue paper rosette to center front of large
heart. Pin center of rosette to heart for added strength.
9. Fold ribbon in half and hot glue center to back of small
foam heart. Adhere small foam heart to top of paper rosette.
10. Open heart-shaped card and adhere XOXO sticker; close
card. Adhere LOVE sticker to pink card stock; trim into tag
shape, leaving narrow border. Set eyelet in one end of tag.
Thread tag onto one end of ribbon; tie bow around closed card.
