Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

User's Reivew

1 ★It's always down.cant log in.
1 ★Using it as PAYG, the app still sneakily charges you €20 even when you turn off the automatic top up. BE VERY CAREFUL USING THIS.
1 ★Signing up was a hustle, password too long error was reported on a split second debug message, card verification without topup enabled did not work until I by mistake enabled auto-topup and "lost" 20 EUR on it, app is slow and lets you sit in front of a white screen with no indication if something is happening or not. Card information cannot be removed and I'm terrified of hackers getting the data as app quality is horrific and their software developers don't seem to care much about quality.
1 ★Works ok for locating charge points and selection of charger. Major issue with app displaying my charger as available when my car was mid charge. Then swipe to stop did not stop the charge and I had to call esb support who had to disconnect the session otherwise the next person would have been able to piggyback on my session and use my credit.
3 ★Does the job pretty well, nice to be able to start charging from the app directly. It'd be nice to have clearer linkage between charge points and the app listings, definitely felt like some guess work to get the right one. The weirdest thing is reporting distances in imperial units with no apparent way to change to metric. All road signs are fully metric in Ireland...why is this?
1 ★How is it possible that you can't just click on the map from the home screen to see the nearby chargers. A core feature. It's in miles not km. No ability to switch.
1 ★Absolutely awful app. 1990's style user interface, distance shown in miles, clunky to use. If you are stuck using ESB infrastructure, get yourself the physical card and avoid this app like the plague.
3 ★The app is very handy at ESB chargers, as it allows you to control the full charging experience with a few click and 2 swipes. You don't need a card or anything. Sometimes the app (or charger, not sure) can get confused and stuck when the swipe on the app and plugging of the cable are not made in the right order. What it needs now is a notification for overstay: When the time limit is close, the app should send a reminder because it is easy to forget about the 45 minutes.
1 ★The most expensive network, while other suppliers are cutting prices, ESB is ignoring calls to cut prices. The regulators should do something with this greedy behaviour and poor connection with customers.
2 ★Repeatedly shows an error message saying "There are no charge points in your location" when other apps show eCars chargers just nearby.
