5 ★***PSA for all those who seem to be out of the loop: 8tracks is shutting down EVERYWHERE. For everyone saying the blog says it's "still available in the US", no. It you read the message it links to, it says they are shutting down entirely due to not enough revenue.*** Farewell 8tracks. I will miss you. You helped me discover some pretty great music and for that I am thankful. I hope you guys get a second chance in the future. Good luck on all your future endeavours.
3 ★I'm so sad that 8tracks is gone. I'm even more sad that there was no heads up to wrap my things up, I'm only just now finding out by opening the app to see the message. I am incredibly confused as to why it's still on the Google Play Store.
2 ★App hasn't been updated since June 2019. I don't think they have app developers anymore. I've sent numerous reports to fix a crash when trying to access a user's mix on mobile. The app is still usable, but used to be actually great.
1 ★App use to be good. Now it's just garbage. I go into the app and I can't even get past the login screen, it just keeps on loading. I tried logging in on my laptop, worked just fine. Fix the app and I might download again.
2 ★normally i enjoy 8tracks but recently the android version has been crashing every single time i open the app. as soon as i go to click on any playlist or profile i get an error message and then the app shuts off. also, im not able to change my profile picture that i put up 4 years ago. not a huge deal but it is kinda dumb
2 ★The app was great at first, but it's been years since the last update. It's almost unusable now. The app still allows for unlimited listening, though, so that's pretty cool. It's good for finding new music when the app is actually functional.
2 ★Everytime I try to skip a song on a playlist, the app immediately bugs out and skips every song on the play list. At first I thought it was my internet being slow, but no matter what (even if I'm using 4G data) this happens. I am also unable to unsubscribe from the ad-free experience.
5 ★Love this app so much! I use it all the time and I really enjoy the fact that all playlists are made by other users of this app! All of the playlists I've listened to are so unique and it's a great way to find new music! I REALLY hope we'll be able to use 8tracks in Asia & Europe soon!!
4 ★Alright I love this app but it's definitely a bit buggy, on multiple phones I've used. Can't control play from home screen or drop-down, sometimes it randomly stops playing but I believe that's to other apps or wifi interacting with it. It's a live hate relationship but mostly love. I can't complain for free music.
1 ★It claims that 8tracks is no longer available in my country, but I live in the US and when I clicked learn more it said that it would only affect those outside the US and Canada. Even before this, it didn't really work that well and I all but quit using it a couple of months ago because all the glitches aggravated me.
5 ★Even tho we had some minor bugs, I am really sorry to see 8 tracks go like this. I've been your listener for about 10yrs. You guys really did have awesome musics and made me discover some songs I've never heard of. Thanks guys!! Hope you guys regroup with better and killer innovating ideas. 2 ★I love the concept of this app and I've had it a long time but I'm just frustrated. Both on my old iphone and now even worse on my samsung the playlist won't load or it'll stop half way through. What am I even paying for if I cant listen to music? None of my other music apps have this problem...
