3 ★So much good, and so much bad! ---- Pros: - No DRM, you own your music collection! - They made it so you can manually download albums now - You're directly supporting artists. ---- Cons: - You can't choose what quality or format to download. It probably just does VBR MP3. - Music gets stored to some dumb mystery location, so you have to use the Bandcamp app to play it - Near constant political preaching.
3 ★Still pretty awful app - doesn't ask what format I want to download in (I want to download files of the album for use in other players and external storage), and I still have to go to the full desktop website (in a mobile browser) to access the FLAC download option. Ugh.
3 ★Like that app, but for godsakes, add some functionality as an audio player, there is no way to turn OFF casting, so the app is constantly looking for devices to cast to which interrupts streaming on Bluetooth. Its extremely annoying and would be such an easy fix. (ADD AN OPTION TO TURN OF CASTING)
2 ★Not at all clear where I can download the flacs from, the total file size for an album that downloads when you just hit download is too small for it to be the flacs I paid for. Online guide is completely useless also. Otherwise I love supporting artists I love instead of paying for streaming services that barely pay them.
4 ★For finding music and supporting independent artists it's fantastic. As an app it's fine, not meant to be a robust music player or anything. I do really hope they make it Android Auto compatible someday so I can use it on drives.
1 ★so lacking... no grocery cart so you have to purchase one item at a time, unable to purchase discographies from within app. No screen rotation so if you are using a tablet rotate your head 90 degrees or get used to using it in portrait mode only.
5 ★The greatest app ever created. I love Bandcamp. It is an amazing platform for artists who are just getting started, as well as the greats. Their radio shows are amazing, this app is my new obsession and a must for anyone whose life is music. ❤️❤️❤️
5 ★We need searchable hashtags besides the list provided. Similar to the website. For example, I search for "nwobhm" but I only get results for tracks, artists or fans. No genre. I believe users would greatly appreciate a GENRE search listing as the top result in any search (if one is available).
4 ★The app is good. However it should the ability to let you view your purchases and shipping info for purchases of physical media within the app itself vs having to log into the Bandcamp website.
4 ★App has improved loads with the option to download owned albums. Not sure how it would work since the platform is so album driven but the ability to create playlists would be awesome
