Ο σύλλογος ξιφασκίας Α.Ο Θησέας Ηρακλείου ιδρύθηκε τον Αύγουστο του 2011.Σκοπός του συλλόγου μας, είναι η διάδοση του αθλήματος της ξιφασκίας και η συμμετοχή των αθλητών μας σε αγώνες εντός κι εκτός των συνόρων της χώρας μας.
Η ξιφασκία από τη φύση της είναι ένα άθλημα διαφορετικό από τα άλλα. Ο συνδυασμός τεχνικής και τακτικής ασκεί το πνεύμα αυξάνοντας την προσοχή και την ικανότητα συγκέντρωσης, εξασκεί τη γρήγορη σκέψη και την απόφαση για το καλύτερο αποτέλεσμα μέσα από μια ποικιλία επιλογών, μειώνοντας το χρόνο αντίδρασης.
