교육부와 국가평생교육진흥원은 전국에 산재되어 있는 평생학습정보, 학습 콘텐츠 등을 한곳에서 제공하여 모든 국민들이 언제, 어디서나 원하는 평생학습 기회를 누릴 수 있는 국가평생학습포털 '늘배움(http://www.lifelongedu.go.kr)' 서비스를 시작합니다.
국가평생학습포털 '늘배움'은,
첫째, 시·도 다모아 평생교육정보망*의 평생교육기관, 강좌정보 등을 기관별로 산재되어 있던 평생교육정보를 종합적으로 제공합니다.
* 시‧도의 평생교육 프로그램 운영 정보를 수집‧제공하는 정보망으로, 현재 구축이 완료된 11개 시‧도 8만2천여건의 강좌정보 제공
둘째, 국내기관 및 해외 교육사이트의 질 높은 공개 교육 자료와 자체 개발 콘텐츠를 제공*하여 생애단계별 학습 수요**에 맞게 누구나 쉽게 접근할 수 있도록 지원합니다.
