Encuentra de forma fácil los barrios de Colombia, por medio de una vista de realidad aumentada. GuiAR (Graphical User Interface for Augmented Reality en español Interfaz Gráfica de Usuario para Realidad Aumentada), es un proyecto que generado por la necesidad de solucionar los problemas de geolocalización tanto de los recolectores de las encuestas del DANE, cómo de la población colombiana en general, aplicando los últimos conceptos y tecnologías en computación y almacenamiento de datos móvil, así como adelantos en Realidad Aumentada (RA).Esta aplicación ofrece en líneas generales dos funcionalidades:
1. Ofrece servicios de localización de sitios y direcciones para Colombia sin plan de datos y basado en una interfaz de realidad aumentada.
2. Permite el escaneo de códigos GeoQR de los mapas que se pueden generar en el servicio del Marco Geoestadístico Nacional (ruta http://geoportal.dane.gov.co/) pudiendo de esta manera localizar el sitio indicado en el Mapa.
Esta aplicación es ofrecida a los encuestadores y supervisores del DANE para ubicarse en terreno, sin embargo, por sus grandes prestaciones se ofrece al público general por ser la primera aplicación móvil en la institución que integra los Sistemas de Información Geográfica con la Realidad Aumentada.
