Fleet ELD is the driving app that turns your commercial motor vehicle - truck or bus - into a smart vehicle to help you drive safer. Plug in your in-vehicle device and download the app to start driving smarter with a truly connected vehicle. The app provides an electronic logbook to track Hours of Service for drivers, to report Records of Duty Status to meet the requirements of the Electronic Logging Device mandated by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.Fleet ELD is powered by Octo Telematics—a global leader in driving telematics and is compatible with off-the-shelf Android devices.
Use Fleet ELD to:
IDENTIFY DRIVERS
Identify which driver is operating which commercial motor vehicle.
SEND ALERTS FOR ANONYMOUS DRIVER TRIPS AND VIOLATIONS
If a vehicle is operated without driver login, trips will be flagged under the Anonymous Driver and alerts will be generated for drivers. Anonymous Driving trips can subsequently be assigned to drivers or assumed by drivers themselves. HOS violations will also generate alerts for drivers.
TRACK HOURS OF SERVICE
Use your Fleet ELD app to identify whether the drivers is in Off-Duty, Sleeper-Berth, On-Duty-Not-Driving or Driving duty status modes.
CHANGE DUTY STATUSES AUTOMATICALLY
The Fleet ELD app will automatically detect when your vehicle is in motion to switch the driver duty status to Driving mode. When the vehicle is stopped, driver will automatically be switched back to On-Duty-Not-Driving mode.
COMPLY WITH FMCSA RECORDS OF DUTY STATUS SUBMISSION
Send Records of Duty Status using Electronic Data Transfer mechanisms – email and web services – to the FMCSA and authorized safety officials/inspectors.
