Salih TURHAN, İskenderun/Hatay'da doğdu. Asıl görevi, Serbest Muhasebeci Mali Müşavirlik olan Salih Turhan ayni zamanda bir şair,bir düşünür, bir yazar , bir din ve Kur'an bilginidir.Eğitimine babasından Kur’an öğrenerek başladı.7 yaşında İlk okula köyünde başladığında Kur’an-ı hatmeşmişti. (Daha sonra Arapça bilgilerini fırsat bulup gittiği Arap ülkelerinde hayli ilerletti)
İlk okuldan sonra Orta ve Liseyi İskenderun'da ve Yüksek tahsilini İstanbul İktisadi ve Ticari ilimler akademesin'de bitirdi. Vatani görevini Yedek subay olarak ifa ettikten sonra Yurt içinde ve Yurt dışında (Suudi Arabistan’da) Özel şirketlerde Muhasebe Müdürü, Personel İşleri Müdürü ve Genel Müdürlük pozisyonlarında çalıştı. Halen Kendi doğup büyüdüğü memleketi olan İskenderun'da kendi ofisinde Serbest Muhasebeci Mali Müşavirlik faaliyetlerine aktif olarak devam etmektedir.
1988 yılında çevresindeki insanların teşviki ile ister istemez kendisini politikanın içinde gördü. İskenderuna bağlı Gözcüler, Akçalı ve madenli köylerinde Belediyelerin kurulmasını sağladı. Hele Gözcüler Belediyesi, tamamen onun eseridir. Gözcüler Belediyesinin kuruluşu ile tam üç yıl uğraşmıştı. Belediye kurulunca da halkın ısrarı üzerine o yıllarda politikaya girdi. Hiç yalan söylemiyen, dürüstlükten sıyrılmayan, boş vaadler de bulunmayan, milleti kandırmayan örnek bir Belediye Başkanı olma hevesi ile ortaya çıktı. Böyle olunca da haliyle seçimi kazanamadı. Bundan sonrada politikadan hep uzak durdu.
Evli ve ikisi kız, biri oğlan olmak üzere üç çocuk babasıdır.
