İTÜ Kovan, İTÜ Bilgi İşlem Daire Başkanlığı tarafından geliştirilmiş ve entegrasyonu yapılmış, açık kaynaklı ownCloud uygulaması üzerine inşa edilmiş, BULUT tabanlı dosya barındırma ve paylaşma hizmetidir. Bu hizmetle beraber web tarayıcısı, masaüstü, tablet ve akıllı telefon uygulamalarıyla istediğiniz zaman, istediğiniz yerden dosyalarınıza erişebileceksiniz. Bu hizmetten yararlanmak için tek yapmanız gereken İTÜ Portal üzerinden İTÜ Kovan kullanım sözleşmesini onaylamaktır.İTÜ Kovan aracılığıyla;
• Verilerinize mobil cihazlarınızdan, bilgisayarlarınızdan ve web tarayıcısı üzerinden erişebilirsiniz,
• Verilerinizi tüm cihazlarınız üzerinde senkron tutabilirsiniz,
• Verilerinizi diğer İTÜ kullanıcılarıyla veya mail adresi üzerinden başka kişilerle paylaşabilirsiniz,
• Paylaştığınız veriler üzerinde kullanıcılara değişiklik yapma yetkisi verebilirsiniz.
