It allows easy operation of the meter via mobile devices without having a physical remote control or line of sight to the meter.Kantar uses two measuring devices to measure TV viewing figures: the PeopleMeter, which measures TV and video usage on classic TV sets, and the FocalMeter, which measures TV and video usage on PC/laptop and mobile devices.
Several thousands of households are part of the TV panel and contribute to the TV channels' programming. As households repeatedly terminate their participation, it is essential to attract new participants.
To use the virtual remote control, a registration key is required which is supplied with the measuring device from Kantar.
