L'app del Club Alpino Italiano, CAI Pass, permette di scannerizzare il QR Code presente in ogni tessera socio del Club Alpino Italiano per verificarne la validità dell'iscrizione.L'app CAI Pass può essere utilizzata da soggetti che erogano servizi riservati ai soci del Club Alpino Italiano o che prevedano agevolazioni a loro rivolte, al fine di verificare la titolarità a fruire di tali servizi ed agevolazioni. In particolare, l’App consente di leggere il QR code presente sia sulla tessera che sul certificato d’iscrizione e mostra graficamente al verificatore l’effettiva autenticità e validità dell’iscrizione, corredando l’informazione con il nome e il cognome dell’intestatario della tessera o del certificato, la sezione di appartenenza e la categoria associativa.
Per utilizzarla non è necessaria alcuna connessione ad Internet, in modo da poter essere utilizzata anche in rifugi dove la connettività non è presente.
