e-Passport NFC reader APK Download for Android

Description

Android app that uses the NFC chip to communicate with an electronic passport. It supports action, so third party apps can use it to retrieve passport data. Please visit website for more information.

The app is completely open source, so anyone is welcome to validate that it doesn't collect any personal information. Data is kept only in memory and removed as soon as you close the app. Passport data is never uploaded to any remote server.

App had been successfully tested with Russian passport. It might not work with some other passports. If it doesn't work, please create GitHub issue to help me fix the issue instead of leaving negative feedback.

How to install e-Passport NFC reader APK on Android phone or tablet?

Download e-Passport NFC reader APK file from ApkClean, then follow these steps:

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).

1 ★Stupid app which makes you spend ages scrolling back through a calendar month by month to be able to enter expiry and dates of birth, that's 800 odd months to get to my birthday!

5 ★Work fine, a little bit hard to match the antenna on the passport but I suppose it depend on the phone and passport model

2 ★ужасный выбор даты, на 6 андроиде чтобы задать дату рождения нужно все ваши года пролистать по месяцу назад. Нельзя выбрать сразу год. За 25 лет жизни нужно сделать 25*12 = 300 (!) жестов. А потом еще десять лет пролистать до даты окончания срока действия паспорта.

4 ★works well, but doesn't give as much info as some other apps (e.g. signing algorithm etc). edit: for people struggling to input the dates, I agree the UI is subpar, but you can quickly switch the year by tapping on the year label at the top.

4 ★I have added this review just to support you. I know how hard is adeveloper's life and some of the comments are unappreciative. Your appworks fine and it is open source. It may need few UI tweaks to make usershappier. Error messages to be clearer for a casual user and to remainlonger.
