This free app makes it easier for you to plan your shooting sessions in a precise, straightforward fashion, assembles your data so that it is always readily available on your Android smartphone and intuitively stores the information ready to use at future dates.
In the ROLLEIMOMENTS App, we have brought together the four functions most crucial for aspiring photographers and professionals:
ND-CALCULATOR
The "ND-CALCULATOR" immediately shows you the definitive duration of exposure for the combination of ND filter strength and exposure time you have selected on the camera. This also takes account of stop and ND scale values. As soon as the duration calculated exceeds the exposure capacity for standard cameras, the convenient “countdown” function showing the appropriate time interval comes into play so that you can close down the shutter on the camera manually at the right moment. Now you no longer have to search cumbersomely around on a chart for the right readings with a torch when it’s dark.
LOCATION PLANNER
Using the "LOCATION PLANNER", you can find out sunrise, sunset, moonrise and moonset times, together with the precise lighting conditions for a chosen location. The ROLLEIMOMENTS app will also show you the exact position of the sun. You can immediately see when it reaches its zenith and accurately gauge how much light you still have to play with. Search and save options considerably enhance the app’s functionality.
WEATHER
A click on the "WEATHER" menu item provides you with a view of temperature and cloud conditions in the upper display field; here you will find further details, and you can also choose to view a 14-day or 24-hour forecast. The 24-hour mode will show you developments hour-by-hour; the two-week outlook is confined to the key forecast times of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Even the current wind speed and direction are faded in to the display – important for stability and judging the track of clouds across the sky.
STORED LOCATIONS
The fourth function, "STORED LOCATIONS" lists the locations you have stored. This is perfect for documenting and planning further shoots at established locations. Save the location and various details about any photo you take: the precise GPS co-ordinates, the lighting conditions at the time of the photo, the weather conditions at the time of the photo and the filters used. In addition to the data saved, you can obviously note your own observations and variables in the free text field.
At the top left of the display you will find a tiny Lists icon which conceals further items. A click will move the main navigation to the right and open a range of information from Rollei: “Service” will display the central telephone hotline which is continuously manned from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and will offer you friendly, professional assistance. In addition, you will find Rollei’s general email address. Our informative and much-visited “blog” is also just a click away.
