Description

ADS Gravestones is a prototype FAIMS Mobile (v2.5) customisation for recording cemeteries, burial plots, burial markers, and individual burials.

FAIMS Mobile is an app for offline data recording that allows full customisation of collected data and workflow. FAIMS mobile works offline, and can collect structured, text, multimedia, and spatial data.

When you first open the app, you will need to create an identity (‘Sign up’). Subsequently, you will be able to ‘Log in’ by selecting that identity from the dropdown list and entering your password.

A cemetery can have many plots, a plot can have multiple markers, and a marker can have multiple burials. Various details of plots, markers, and burials can be recorded (e.g., items present in the plot, inscriptions, decorative motifs). Decorative motifs are selected using a hierarchical picture dictionary. Historical information about a burial plot can also be added.

At present this customisation is a demonstration prototype only. The picture dictionaries are incomplete (tap the blank space below the text description to select), GPS / spatial data recording has not been enabled, and validation has not been implemented (e.g., if you state that a plot has three markers and five burials, the app does not force you to record exactly that number). These features can be completed / added as required. The order things are recorded - as well as tab group, tab, and field layout - can also be changed.

This customisation is a simplified version of the Gravestones module previously developed for Flinders University. Source code is available on GitHub.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.
